At the end of every episode, Ashok Kumar appeared to discuss the ongoing story with the audience and his final words before the credits rolled were always "Hum Log".
Hum Log was India's first ever television serial. It began on the 7th of July 1984 and came to an end after completing 156 episodes on the 17th of December 1985.
When the serial was announced stating the first television serial of India which will be aired twice a week and actors will get 500 Rs per episode.Manoj Pahwa felt it was fake and didn't go for auditions.But when serial went on air he realized what mistake he did.
Manoj Pahwa and Seema Pahwa started dating during the serial.But in the serial he was shown to be eloping with Divya Seth (Majli).When people would see Manoj Pahwa and Seema Pahwa together they would comment saying in serial he eloped with Majli and here he is romancing with Badki.
Seema Pahwa recommend Manoj Pahwa's name for character of Tony.They both did theater together in those days.
