Mithun Chakraborty, Prema Narayan, and Deb Mukherjee in Karate (1983)

Trivia

Karate

Edit
The song Do Deewane Pyar Ke partly sampled Donna Summer song I Feel Love.
Deb Mukhejee grabbed hold of Anu Malik at a party and threaten to bash him up. This was due to a song in Mangal Pandey sounding the exact same as a song in Karate.Deb felt Anu lifted the tune from Karate. Anu Malik explained that Bappi Lahiri and he both copied the same English song.
In 1984 Bappi Lahiri released a Bengali album Dujane and created the song Tum tum Tumba as Boom Boom Bumba sung by Runa Laila.
Mangal Pandey song "No Parking" was sampled from Nabil & The Savannahs song "Karibuni Kenya". The song "Do Diwane Pyar Ke" from Karate was also sampled from "Karibuni Kenya".
Cousins Raja Mukherjee (Rani Mukherjee's brother),Kajol and Tanishaa Mukerji who are all niece and nephews of Deb Mukherjee appear in the film as child artists.
