Wagner can currently be seen as CIA Spec Ops team leader Bobby in Taylor Sheridan’s Lioness, alongside Zoe Saldaña and Nicole Kidman in the Paramount+ spy thriller series, which wrapped its second season in December. She also serves as an executive producer on the series.

A television station in Boston has shifted its primary network affiliation to Sinclair-owned comedy network Tbd.

The switch happened last Tuesday when Wrnn-owned Wmfp (Channel 61) replaced OnTV with Tbd. The change gave the Sinclair multicast network instant distribution on pay TV systems in the Boston metropolitan area, including standard definition and high definition carriage on Comcast (Xfinity), Verizon’s Fios TV, Charter (Spectrum) and Rcn. It also made Tbd available in the Boston area via Dish Network and DirecTV satellite, while Atlantic Broadband now carries the high definition feed of the channel. Previously, Tbd was offered on a digital sub-channel of CBS-owned Wsbk, which replaced it with programming from QVC.

Fox Corporation’s local broadcast television stations will be adding Sinclair’s comedy-centric multicast network Tbd in a handful of top TV markets, the companies announced on Tuesday.

Starting January 15, Fox-owned TV stations in Atlanta, Chicago, New York, Los Angeles and Phoenix will begin distributing Tbd on a digital sub-channel of their main network signal, making them available in closer proximity to a major network affiliate in five of the top 10 TV markets.

In two markets — Los Angeles and Chicago — Tbd will move from a Nexstar-owned CW Network affiliate, where they already had premiere reach. The realignment allows Sinclair to take advantage of Fox’s position in larger markets, securing the network’s placement in closer proximity to a “Big Four” network.

The only reason some could possibly have to smile this wide, to Finn’s way of thinking, is if they were a demon from hell.

The original “Smile” hit like a ton of bricks. The film starred Sosie Bacon as a therapist who witnesses a patient killing themselves while grinning ear to ear. She’s so disturbed by the incident that she starts seeing smilers everywhere, only to discover that it’s not in her head. She’s been cursed by a demon who feeds on anguish and drives people mad over the course of six days, before leaping to somebody else in another shocking act of violence.

Sinclair’s comedy-focused multicast network Tbd has seen a lift in weekday viewership after incorporating re-runs of “Saturday Night Live” into its schedule, according to Nielsen figures released by a company executive this week.

Over the first 10 days of the show’s airing on Tbd, the network saw a 20 percent increase in viewership between 10 p.m. and 1 a.m. among adults between the ages of 25 and 54 years old (A25-54), the group most-attractive to traditional broadcast and cable TV advertisers, according to data provided by Sinclair’s Senior Vice President of Growth Networks Adam Ware.

Among the A35-64+ group, Tbd’s airing of Saturday Night Live saw a 22 percent lift in viewership during the “access” hours of 4 p.m. and 6 p.m., and a 100 percent increase among the A50+ group between 2 p.m. and 4 p.m., the Nielsen ratings show.

Peters will star in “The Beauty” with Murphy serving as co-creator. Sinclair’s multicast network Tbd is expanding its roster of anything-can-happen comedy shows with the addition of NBC’s hit sketch comedy program “Saturday Night Live.”

Tom Johnson, who received two Emmy Awards for his writing on The Daily Show, has died. He was 55.

Johnson died “peacefully and unexpectedly” at his Los Angeles home on Jan. 14 of a cardiac issue, his wife, actress Rozie Bacchi, told The Hollywood Reporter.

ABC News has tapped Jeannie Kedas to lead its communications and publicity efforts.

Kedas joins from First Look Media, where she served as chief communications officer and executive vice president for seven years.

As senior VP of publicity and communications at ABC News, she will oversee all external and internal communications and media relations, and will be part of ABC News President Kim Godwin’s leadership team. She will report to Naomi Bulochnikov-Paul, executive vice president, publicity and head of communications, Disney Entertainment Television.

The free-ad supported streaming service has promoted Brian Tannenbaum to oversee scripted content following news of Colin Davis’ departure to Sony Pictures Television. Deadline understands that he will initially take on the role on an interim basis, but sources suggest that he will likely get the job on a permanent basis.

Deadline revealed earlier this afternoon that Davis, who was Head of Scripted Originals, is joining the studio as EVP, Comedy Development.

Lydia Antonini remains Head of Creative Affairs and Morgan Pichinson remains Head of Comedy.

Tannenbaum has spent the last couple of years as Head of Alternative Originals and will now oversee all original programming for the service. The actor hadn’t been in a rom-com since 2011 when he appeared in “New Year’s Eve” and starred opposite Natalie Portman in “No Strings Attached.” But 12 years later, Kutcher toplines the new Netflix smoocher “Your Place or Mine” with Reese Witherspoon.

“Honestly, I think I had more fun shooting this movie than I ever had,” Kutcher told me Thursday night at film’s premiere in Los Angeles. “It was genuinely a choice. I didn’t need to do it. I didn’t have to do it. It wasn’t like a career-building block. It was like, ‘I want to do this.’”

He gushed over working with Witherspoon. “I got to be in scenes across from a genuine movie star,” Kutcher said. “She’s such a movie star. It was so wonderful and fun and funny and light. There was never a dark day.

“We’re going to put 2022 behind us and focus on the future,” said Kathleen Finch, Chairman and Chief Content Officer of Warner Bros. Discovery’s U.S. Networks Group.
