Trivia

Vaillant, pigeon de combat !

Edit
Despite the short running time of one hour and 16 minutes, this movie took over two years to voice.
The main character bears the same name as the last carrier pigeon sent by Commandant Raynal from Fort Vaux on June 4, 1916, during the battle of Verdun. It arrived, deadly wounded with its message, and was given a plaque, in 1929, at the Fort, with the words "Mort pour la France".
The second full-length British CGI movie, after Dominator (2003).
Over 200 artists, from 41 different countries, worked on this movie.
The second animated movie of 2005 for Ewan McGregor and Jim Broadbent, after Robots (2005). Unlike that film where they both used American accents for their respective characters, Broadbent in this film would use his regular speaking British accent, whilst McGregor would use a British accent that he's been known for with a portion of his live action roles.
