Exclusive: Oscar-winning screenwriters Bobby Moresco (Crash) and Nick Vallelonga (Green Book) have partnered with Midnight Run scribe George Gallo and John Gotti Jr. to develop the series Betrayal examining John Gotti and the Fall of La Cosa Notra.

Gotti’s rise from a loyal soldier to Boss of Bosses, and ultimately to his sentencing to life imprisonment after being betrayed by his underboss, Sammy Gravano, is legendary.

The story being packaged as a limited series will differ from past incarnations of Gotti...

Perabo picks a pair of pics: 'Wolf,' 'Click'
Piper Perabo, last seen in 20th Century Fox's holiday comedy Cheaper by the Dozen, has signed on for back-to-back indie projects. The actress will first star opposite James Marsden in 10th and Wolf. Bobby Moresco is directing based on a story he and Chazz Palminteri came up with. It finds Marsden as Tommy Santaro, a member of the Philadelphia street crew known as 10th and Wolf, who gets mixed up with the mob. Perabo will play a single mother who is part of the underground crime scene in Philadelphia. Joe Pistone, Leo Rossi and Ivan Kavalsky are producing, with Suzanne De Laurentiis and Jeff Williams serving as executive producers. Immediately following Wolf, Perabo will segue to the British romantic comedy Click opposite Lena Headey. That project, which starts in October in London, will be directed by Oliver Parker. Barnaby Thompson is producing. Perabo recently wrapped a role opposite Justin Timberlake in Edison and a part opposite Cole Hauser and Morris Chestnut in Cave. She is repped by UTA and TMT Entertainment.

Marsden joins indie 'Wolf' pack
James Marsden, who recently wrapped the Summit Entertainment/Endgame Entertainment production The Alibi, will segue to the indie film 10th and Wolf. Bobby Moresco is directing based on a story he and Chazz Palminteri came up with. It finds Marsden as Tommy Santaro, a member of the Philadelphia street crew known as 10th and Wolf. He accepts a deal to serve in the military instead of going to jail for getting mixed up in a mob hit only to get back in the wrong crowd in order to save his brother from going to prison. Joe Pistone, Leo Rossi and Ivan Kavalsky are producing, with Suzanne De Laurentiis and Jeff Williams serving as executive producers. Karen Armstrong is casting. Shooting starts next month on the East Coast. Marsden was seen this summer opposite Rachel McAdams and Ryan Gosling in New Line Cinema's summer sleeper hit The Notebook. He next stars in the Merchant Ivory production Heights. He's repped by Endeavor and Brillstein-Grey Entertainment.
