    soulless

The title tell s you where its heading. A commercial Hollywood producing with the word 'Soul' says its going to be a parody of Black culture an d characteristics done badly and diluted so as to cash in on mainstream. Result, offend everyone in its morals and production.

Racial stereotypes and black/white culture are embraced rather than dispelled. Tom Arnold definitely steals the show as he is an excellent comedy actor. Some of the jokes are forced. Some awkward moments. Dwayne Adway is a bit weak in the leading role needed to stick to being the straight man. Stewardess Sofia Vergara has landed in this film from being pictured on a footballer's arm. And like Francine Dee (who plays the Chinese stripper here)is another one of the models and women that have appeared as portraits by the GB artist and psychic Stephen Armourae. This film tries to be an Airplane spoof. But that in itself was a spoof. Double negatives don't work well. But it has enough laughs to be worth looking at.

    Outrageous Party Plane

For all of you that like the black comedic-type films similar to some of the Wayans Brothers work, then this is the film for you. But if you can't handle or dislike outrageous silliness, which can only make you laugh because it's just...well, too silly (why else would we laugh?), then you might want to pass this one up. Rather simply, I have already summed this film up - outrageous silliness. And it centers around some of the more popular themes like....sex, more sex, sex again, drugs, sex, and.........this is a shocker.....(no, no more sex) manages to throw in, with a semi-effort, profound themes like a father's feelings of losing his daughter, consummate love and immolation, and the definition of true friendship. Intertwined within all of this is humor common to the stereotypical definition of the ghetto and the hood. In other words "phat" rims, cool rides, foxy booty honeys, pimp daddys, gold chains, puffing on the "L", sexual chocolate, and an asuntry of other familiar brandings. Prepare yourself for a crazy flight aboard the Soul Plane. Peace out.

    Great Movie

I don't know what Moviecaine is talking about. Some people read to much into movies, and pick apart every minute detail, failing to see the humor in movies such as this. This was a hilarious movie, and would recommend it to every hip-hop movie fan out there. The part where Hughley was in the bathroom with Tom Arnold, and kicks on Push It is great. Snoop, Method Man were in fine style all the way through the movie. It borders on unrealism with the plane, as it almost seems like the plane is bigger then it is with all the rooms, the big party room, high class seating, and no-class seating.

The soundtrack definitely fit the flow of the movie, and added to the mood.

    Simply Off Tha Hook!

Soulplane is just down right stupid!, You'll probably never see another movie quite like this! Some would say that's a good thing, but I've just watched it twice this weekend (almost didn't rent it because I read these reviews 1st) & literally laughed all the way through this movie. I've seen some pimped out rides, but a pimped out plane? I think people are taking this movie way too seriously, or they don't know how, when or why to laugh at this specific type of cultural humor, this is very obviously a FUBU movie, but there's no reason for others to bash this movie. The movie just pokes fun at everything & everybody (regardless of race, sex &/or religion). People it's not "Friday" but it is a good slapstick comedy thats great for a few laughs.

    THIS MOVIE IS SOOOOOOOOOOOOOO FUNNY

This movie was sooooooooooooo DAMN funny. The jokes were not corny, to me, they were hilarious. Vast majority of the movie audience was roaring with laughter. I saw the movie in Sunrise multiplex in Valley Stream, which is next to South Jamaica Queens, N.Y. All the characters were sooo funny. The jokes in this movie had me laughing for 26 minutes straight. No movie has done that to me before, and I definitely appreciate a good laugh. The movie did not drag, it did not get boring. I am not trying to be Siskel and Ebert, but the comments made on this movie, which I have glanced at thus far, had to have been made out of pure hatred. We know this movie won't really win any awards in Hollywood, cause it's too Black. Y'all was probably looking for Brad Pitt this weekend. I love spike lee movies, but the brother can't make a movie like this one.... I don't think Spike has the ability to make people laugh like Soul Plane did. I can't wait for the sequel. They should have the ODB and Bizmark as co-pilots with snoop.
