Uncle Poodle -- I Want a NYC Spinoff!
Mama June got the whole Honey Boo Boo clan booted from television ... but Uncle Poodle says he hopes Hollywood comes a callin' again -- because he's gunning for his own show in NYC.Poodle says he saw the petition online calling for him and Sugar Bear to star in their own spin-off show ... and he's game. We're guessing Sugar is not as interested -- if yesterday's Poodle attack was any indication. Uncle P says he'd only be interested if H.

Eminem to Star in Multiple Roles in 3D Anthology Horror Movie Shady Talez
Lil Homiez
Nationwide, Juggalos are already boycotting in parking lots, in addition to breeding. Eminem, the 37-year-old adolescent rapper, will follow up his $116 million grossing fictionalized biopic, 8 Mile, from 2002 with a 3D anthology horror movie horrifically entitled Shady Talez. The project has kicked around for a while, and is now part of a synergy package that includes a same-named four-issue comic book series due 2010 from Marvel Icons. The above image comes from that. Slim Shady will produce and star in multiple roles in the film, which will give an "urban wink" to genre classics such "as Christine, Aliens, and The Lost Boys" in the style of George Romero's Creepshow. What, no characteristic ode to Irreversible or Twisted Nerve? A director was not announced. According to Screen Daily, the script is being written by co-producer Dallas Jackson (Uncle P starring Master P, The Last Dragon remake) and Kevin Grevioux, who created the...

Samuel Jackson Headlining Last Dragon Remake as Sho’nuff
Of all the films worthy of being remade, I never would've though The Last Dragon was one of them. Columbia Pictures is developing a remake of the cult 1985 film with none other than Samuel L. Jackson set to star as Sho'nuff, the Shogun of Harlem, a role played in the original by the late Julius Carry (as seen in the photo above). Wu-Tang Clan's RZA is co-producing with John Davis and Kerry Gordy while Dallas Jackson (of Uncle P) will write the screenplay. Jackson admits that he's "a huge fan of the original and look forward to bringing Sho'Nuff into the 21st century." From Afro Samurai to the Shogun of Harlem! The plot will be updated but will follow a similar story as the original, centering on a martial arts student named Leroy Green and his quest through the streets of New York to achieve the highest level of...

Street Kidz slates 'Homies'
Dallas Jackson
Dallas Jackson, writer of the upcoming film Uncle P from Beacon Pictures, is forming a production company with the intent of breaking into television. With $1 million in private financing, Los Angeles-based Street Kidz Studios is developing the pilot Lil' Homies, a contemporary update of Lil' Rascals, with a young multiethnic cast that will be produced with kid-targeted cable channels in mind. "We're looking to provide quality urban family entertainment for television," Jackson said. "I believe there's a niche there, and we can fill it."...

Beacon nabs 2 Lil' Romeo, Master P pics
Beacon Pictures is banking on the appeal of father-son rappers Master P and Lil' Romeo to pack a punch at the boxoffice as the Walt Disney Co.-based production company has picked up a pair of projects involving the duo. The projects include Uncle P, an urban family comedy that Master P had bankrolled himself and recently wrapped production on with Bernard Gourly directing, and the comedy Shorty, which Beacon is in early negotiations to pick up out of turnaround at Universal Pictures. Both projects were penned by Dallas Jackson and will be distributed through Beacon's deal with Buena Vista.
