Déjà vu all over again...

The only thing I can compare this movie to, is one of those TV shows from the 90's, with slightly better actors I must admit. You probably know one, there's this boy who's not sure about commitment and this girl who wants to start a family, throw a couple of inside jokes and stay on a conventional path. The actors manage to do a average job with what they've got (which is nothing almost) and you get one or two jokes that actually are funny, but it's not enough. Some say it's realistic, I think it's conventional, it's too smooth and lacks depth.

That's it, you got your movie. After 30 minutes, you kind of wish something's going to happen but no. Not worth the time or a dime.

The Title Tells All

After seeing this at the Breckenridge Film Festival, I was surprised how well it was responded to. I thought the movie was much more centered on too limited an age group, but (and not the first time) I was WRONG. People old and young seemed to be able to relate to this whimsical movie, which was cited as a "cross between Swingers and American Pie." I personally think it was a lot more like Swingers in the fact that it was very detailed and gave the viewer a rare insight into relations that most producers don't spend a lot of time and effort on. This was produced as well as directed by Stefan Marc and he did a very capable job. The actors were believable and likable and realistic. If you liked Swingers. you'll like Dating Games People Play. Definitely worth the price of a rental.

Hilarious

I saw this film at the Newport Beach Film Festival. The theater was so full that my girlfriend and I were lucky to be seated near each other. I generally don't see too many films at festivals so I wasn't sure what to expect. The film was a lot better than I ever expected. The performances were all very good and some parts of the movie were hilarious. The crowd was really into the movie and it was very lively. If you like comedies like "Something About Mary" or "Meet the Parents" I would suggest seeing the film.

The story line is what my friends and I can relate to in the dating world so this was a refreshingly funny and realistic perspective of dating.
