What the hell

I bought this movie today and i have to say this is a great movie but with type 0 negative mixed in it didn't put a smile on my face for some parts it works and others it doesn't.What I did was watch the movie first with sound and I gave it a 2/5.Then I watched it on mute and it was or became one of my favorite horror movies for it's sheer terror and graphic violence8/10.I think it was a huge mistake to do this with such a great movie and without the music this is wonderful film the intro is cool and it is remastered very well but how ever I hope the people who put Type 0 Negative in there die slowly for turning a great horror film into a piece of goth crap!!!!SHAME ON YOU,SHAME ON YOU,SHAME ON YOU!EVIL ONE

Bloody Kisses, indeed...

I am a huge fan of vampire films. I am also a huge fan of the goth/rock band Type O Negative. Put them both together and I'm a happy girl.

I actually own several versions of this film but this particular version is my favorite way to watch this much beloved silent masterpiece. Granted, not all of the music matches the action (I had to question the relevance of "My Girlfriends Girlfriend") but the rest of it is quite well done. From the opening scenes where Jonathan & Mina say farewell whilst the moody love song "Love You To Death" plays in perfect synch with the action, to the shot of the vampire's coach speeding recklessly over the terrain while front man Peter Steele shouts in his amazing baritone: "Oh, you're dead now!" this is at times spooky and hilarious to watch.

The film has not been tampered with despite the modern soundtrack and remains a classic piece of cinema. Nosferatu himself remains a hideous, years- ahead-of-his-time monster, with star Max Schreck boasting some very impressive make-up for such an old film. His rat-faced predator is truly creepy and when watched alone in a dark room, will still give you the shivers as he slowly climbs the stairs at midnight or stalks the deck of an ill-fated ship.

I can honestly say, having been a fan of the silent Nosferatu for years before I saw this version, that the soundtrack provided by Type O does NOT detract anything from this film in the least. Indeed, it is a most interesting experiment, and a successful one. Highly recommended for both vampire fans and Type O fans.

Chilling movie with added kick thanks to type o' negative soundtrack

I bought this movie off the internet after wanting to own a copy of Nosferatu, the 1922 classic silent film. I saw this movie there and too my surprise I also read it was redubbed with a Type o Negative soundtrack. The music sometimes doens't 'fit' with the movie, but I would say it goes perfect 98% of the time. If you aren't a fan of this type of music you probably won't be able to set and watch the movie with the sound on. But being a silent film , you will still understand the movie with the sound off :) But I feel the Type O Negative music defenitly added to the movie and the "dark" sound of it gave a new dimension to the atmosphere of the movie. But enough about that. The movie itself , while filmed in 1922, can still deliever chills to this day. This unauthorized make of Dracula was the first vampire movie ever made, and one of the best in my book. Only coming in at a modern day "unacceptable" 70 minutes , I won't leave a synopsis. But I will just say I HIGHLY reccomend this film and for the price, It's definetly worth watching at least once.

Oh well, my copy WAS cheap

I bought my copy at the a local drug store for about $5, so I guess I can't complain much, but to say that the goth rock music of Type O Negitive doesn't guite match what is on the screen is a big understatement. I recommend if you buy this version that you turn the sound OFF while watching this. I'm saying this not because I don't like the music, but because it doesn't come close to connecting with the action.

This a great movie

This is a very scary movie. It directors cut of a movie from 1922. It has not been changed a great deal. It has a great story line. Great acting. It is very scary. It is scarier then The Exorcist. If it does not scary no movie will.
