The Challenge All Stars: Rivals cast: What happened between each pair
Image
A new season of The Challenge: All Stars has arrived, but there are some huge changes in store. First of all, season 5 won't stream exclusively on Paramount+ as the spinoff has since its premiere in 2021. This time around, the All Stars edition of the franchise will air on MTV for the very first time, but that's not the only change fans can expect for the new season.

While each season of All Stars has simply brought together the best of the best from the earliest days of The Challenge's run, this season has a theme. Like three past seasons of the flagship, past competitors will be paired up with their rival. That person could be anyone from a former friend to a former flame to a sworn enemy. It's going to bring a new fire to The Challenge: All Stars!

As The Challenge All Stars: Rivals makes its MTV debut,...

Natlan has been mentioned a few times before and is expected to be introduced in 2024, as was previously announced by HoYoverse in its post-release calendar. Nevertheless, it does not yet have an established release date. The focus, for now, is still on the content added to the game after the release of Fontaine.

Genshin Impact 5.0 Leaks: New Natlan Boss Was Hiding In Teasers All Along
Image
A leak reveals new bosses coming to Genshin Impact's Natlan region, one of which resembles a creature shown in teasers. The boss designs include a green saurian and a pterosaur-inspired creature for Version 5.0. The new bosses are unlikely to be the next weekly boss and will possibly be introduced in Version 5.0.

One of the leaked new Genshin Impact bosses from Natlan was revealed and, based on its designs, it had already been subtly showcased, hiding in a teaser for the upcoming region. The new region in HoYoverses popular action RPG is expected to arrive in late August but, with the addition of Version 4.8 and the start of the Version 5.0 beta tests, most of the upcoming content for Natlan started leaking, from details about the gameplay kits of the new playable Natlan characters in Genshin Impact to quality-of-life updates, for example.

Now, some new boss designs have arisen, and one...

Sharon Stone Has a Tough Time Letting Go of Her Most Famous On-Screen Persona after 32 Years Despite ‘Basic Instinct’ Almost Ruining Her Life
Image
Paul Verhoeven’s neo-noir outing with Sharon Stone and Michael Douglas headlining the film was perhaps one of the most polarizing pieces of cinema of its time (and perhaps even today) which sundered the audience into opposing factions.

Basic Instinct (1992) | TriStar Pictures

Indeed, Basic Instinct turned out to be Stone’s breakthrough, elevating her to newfound heights of stardom in the industry, but it was nothing short of a pyrrhic victory for the acclaimed actress. And even more than three decades later, the former model appears unable to escape the chokehold that the erotic thriller – which nearly derailed her life – seemingly has over her.

Sharon Stone Recreates the (In)Famous Basic Instinct Scene

32 years ago, Sharon Stone filmed the interrogation room scene in Basic Instinct which, unbeknownst to her, would go on to spread a controversy as pernicious as a forest fire, eventually turning her life chaotically upside down.

15 Best WWE PPVs Ever
Image
The best WWE PPVs are more than great wrestling cards. For fans, they are the milestone moments that chart the evolution of not just storylines and feuds but our fandom for this often silly (and sometimes worse) business. They’re not only filled with great matches, hot crowds, and all-time moments, but those special, often indefinable qualities that can put a smile on your face just by thinking of them.

For that reason, we’re looking back at the very best PPVs in WWE history. Just keep in mind that we’re only looking at WWE PPVs (and PLEs) for this list. That means no PPVs produced by other promotions and no Nxt shows. Those shows are more than worthy of their own lists.

15. WrestleMania X

Much like another event we’ll soon talk about, WrestleMania X is best remembered for its two five-star matches. Say what you will about...

WrestleMania 40 is nearly here, and the milestone event is looking to live up to its “Xl” billing. Across two nights, WWE’s biggest stars will compete for glory, championships, and, perhaps, the honor of participating in one of the greatest matches in WrestleMania history. If the quality of recent WrestleMania shows is any indication, it should be a lot of fun.

Bono Dedicates U2 Song “All I Want Is You” to First Lady Jill Biden During Final Sphere Performance
Image
U2 wrapped the inaugural residency at Las Vegas’ $2.3 billion technical and visual marvel Sphere this weekend, closing out a 40-show run that started in September. Fittingly, the legendary band did so by bringing things full circle.

The shows commemorated one of U2’s most successful records, the chart-topping 1991 release Achtung Baby, played in its entirety with selected tracks from other U2 efforts over the years. To further honor the album, U2 bandmates Bono, The Edge, Adam Clayton and Bram van den Berg (sitting in during the residency for an ailing Larry Mullen Jr.) welcomed Achtung Baby producer Daniel Lanois to the stage Saturday night to play guitar and sing backup on the track “One.”

“There would be no Achtung Baby without Daniel Lanois,” Bono said in welcoming him up the back stairs with a request to the audience. “Show him your light,” and they did by holding up smartphone flashbulbs in a beautiful scene.

“He made us practice pepper spray each other”: Even a $400M Fortune Can’t Make You a Perfect Dad and Sylvester Stallone Proves it
Image
Thanks to films like Rambo, Rocky, and The Expendables, actor Sylvester Stallone has built quite a ‘tough guy’ reputation for himself, and rightly so. But what happens when someone like him ends up having daughters? He becomes a softie, and even Sylvester Stallone couldn’t save himself from going down that path!

Sylvester Stallone in The Expendables

Being a girl dad often results in some of the most chilled-out people becoming as overprotective as they can in order to save their daughters from any harm that comes their way. Sylvester Stallone was no exception to the rule. In fact, he took the overprotectiveness up a notch. His daughters recall how their dad would make them practice some brutal self-defense techniques!

Real Reason Sylvester Stallone’s WrestleMania 40 Debut is in Dire Straits
Image
The WWE has invited a wide spectrum of celebrities to help commemorate ‘The Showcase of the Immortals’ since the first WrestleMania in 1985. Events have featured a diverse range of celebrities, including Donald Trump, Floyd Mayweather Jr., and Muhammad Ali. Sylvester Stallone may be brought to WrestleMania Xl, the 40th edition of the supershow, which is set for Philadelphia on April 6 and 7, according to WrestleVotes.

There is interest in working with Stallone “in some form”, according to the report, and WWE sources “hope” that the partnership will work out. However, Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter reports that the actor informed WWE of a scheduling conflict, suggesting that this optimism may have been misplaced. Until he can or wishes to end the conflict, the actor will not attend WrestleMania.

Sylvester Stallone’s Potential WWE Debut at WrestleMania 40 Can be Even a Bigger Disaster Than Expendables 4
Image
WWE is allegedly eyeing Hollywood legend and Rocky actor Sylvester Stallone for Wrestlemania 40. Sylvester Stallone has been one of the most rugged-looking actors of the previous decades and has not been a stranger to entertainment fighting, with his role in the Rocky franchise being the foundation of his stardom.

Sylvester Stallone in his Expendables franchise

Sylvester Stallone partnering up with WWE and featuring in Wrestlemania 40 would be a novel introduction to the franchise. However, given the physicality that is required for Wrestlemania, and WWE events in general, Stallone would find himself in a lot of danger, something that routinely affects a lot of players in the ring, which could be compounded by his advanced age.

Genshin Impact 4.8 Leaks: New Limited Map May Be Set In Fontaine
Image
Genshin Impact Version 4.8 is rumored to have a limited-time map in the region of Fontaine, according to leaks shared on Reddit. Previous leaks regarding future versions of the game have been accurate, including leaks about Fontaine in Version 4.0. Limited-time maps are common in Genshin Impact before the release of new nations, so the leak about a Fontaine-themed map in Version 4.8 is plausible.

A new Genshin Impact leak regarding Version 4.8 has been shared, hinting at another limited-time map, though this one is set to be in the region of Fontaine. Although the live-service game by HoYoverse is currently in Version 4.3, moving towards Version 4.4 in late January, there have allegedly been leaks about content planned for later in the year, including for the release of Natlan in Genshin Impact. The game has long been struggling with leaks – most of the planned content for Fontaine in Version 4.0 was shared months before its release,...

Ice Spice has teamed up with Rema for a new single called “Pretty Girl.” Stream the track below.

Ice Spice first began teasing “Pretty Girl” on Instagram in September, sharing a post with the caption “i’m just a.. pretty girl” on September 19th. Then, earlier this week, she confirmed the collaboration, posting the artwork for the single and revealing that it would be out by the end of the week.

Genshin Impact Fontaine Interview: 4.0, New Characters, Design Decisions, & More
Image
With Genshin Impact 4.1 freshly released, players have an even larger array of reasons to dive into the new nation of Fontaine. It's also a good point to take a quick retrospective on how the area has impacted the game.

Screen Rant recently chatted with the Genshin Impact team about its art exhibition in New York and the release of 4.0, which introduced Fontaine and some new playable characters, alongside exciting design decisions. Fontaine features underwater areas for the first time in the game, and its quest and treasure chest design is noticeably different from previous regions as well. How much of that is based on player feedback? What were the goals with Fontaine? Did underwater exploration work out as hoped?

We've got those answers and more. Check out what the team has to say now that Genshin Impact 4.0 has run its course!

Box Office: A Haunting In Venice Summons The Ghost Of A $15 Million Opening Weekend
Image
Just when you thought it was safe to commit elaborate crimes, Kenneth Branagh's Hercule Poirot has returned. With his sharp mind and even sharper mustache, Branagh's take on Agatha Christie's famous detective first appeared in 2017's "Murder on the Orient Express" and returned last year in "Death on the Nile." Both were directed by Branagh and written by Michael Green, and that creative team reunited for "A Haunting in Venice," which is based on Christie's novel "The Hallowe'en Party."

This time around, Hercule Poirot is retired and living in self-imposed exile in Venice, when a séance and a murder pull him back into his old ways -- though this time with a potentially supernatural twist. Audiences seem intrigued by this horror-tinged departure from the two previous movies, with Deadline reporting that "A Haunting in Venice" grossed $5.3 million on Friday (including Thursday previews) and is expected to gross around $14 million over its opening weekend.

Here's When Can You Watch Disney's Haunted Mansion At Home
Image
Soon, fans of the Haunted Mansion won't have to take a trip to Disneyland to experience a scary ride. During the Walt Disney Studios Showcase, a presentation at this year's Destination D23, it was revealed that "Haunted Mansion" will soon be coming to home media beginning on October 4.

"Haunted Mansion" is based on the eponymous theme park ride, a staple of Disneyland since 1969. The film, directed by Justin Simien ("Dear White People"), features single mom Gabbie (Rosario Dawson) moving into the haunted Gracey Manor in New Orleans with her son. Soon, they run afoul of the ghosts, such as the Hatbox Ghost (Jared Leto) and the decapitated Madame Leota (Jamie Lee Curtis), now imprisoned in a crystal ball. So, they recruit a team of priests, academics, and psychics to exorcise the Manor.

"Haunted Mansion" coming to home media in October sounds like Disney learning its lesson from releasing the film theatrically in July.

Why Rotten Tomatoes Is Roger Ebert's Fault
Image
Apologies to André Bazin, Pauline Kael, and Andrew Sarris, but Roger Ebert was unquestionably the most influential film critic of the cinema's first century. In fact, unless the media landscape is drastically altered over the next few years, he may also wind up being the last film critic who ever truly mattered.

I do not mean this as a put-down of my colleagues. If you actually read film criticism nowadays, you know that there's never been a more thrillingly diverse assortment of voices in this too-cluttered arena. Manohla Dargis, Justin Chang, Scott Tobias, Angelica Jade Bastién, and Bilge Ebiri are must-reads in this house, and I could name a few dozen more who are reliably incisive and original in their thinking. I don't have time to read all of the critics I respect, which is both a frustrating and good thing.

But be honest, do you actually read film criticism nowadays?...

Warner Bros. Discovery Takes One-Quarter Loss Larger Than Entire Industry Cost Of WGA Proposal
Image
For those keeping track at home, we've officially hit the "Utter nonsense" portion of the ongoing WGA and SAG-AFTRA strikes -- and, as has been the case since the start, there's nobody else to blame but the studios. Their representatives, the AMPTP, have thus far resorted to some of the most underhanded and casually cruel methods to maintain their iron grip on the billions of dollars of profits generated by the film and television industries. From obstructing picket lines and creating unsafe environments for those on strike to unmasking themselves as straight-up supervillains by threatening to literally starve writers out and force them to lose their homes before coming back to the bargaining table, the studios seem intent on proving that there are simply no depths they'll refuse to go to.

With such scorched-earth methods clearly dictating the overall negotiating policy of the studios, one would assume that this has...

Strays Director Josh Greenbaum on His Hard R-Rated Talking Animals Film
Image
"Today is going to be the best day ever!" This line is said on more than one occasion by Reggie, the naive terrier in Strays that's voiced by the iconic Will Ferrell. Any why not? He's got an owner who loves him — or so he thinks. Actually, his abusive owner (played hilariously by Will Forte) wants nothing to do with Reggie. This sets off the events in director Josh Greenbaum's new R-rated, live-action, talking-animals movie from Universal. As Reggie ventures out into the real world, he meets some foul-mouthed furry friends along the way, voiced to comedic perfection by Jamie Foxx, Randall Park, and more.

We recently caught up with Greenbaum, who discussed this follow-up project to the equally funny Barb and Star Go to Vista Del Mar. He opened up about working with Hollywood heavyweights like Foxx, Ferrell, and countless others, as well as a new documentary of his in the works.

M*A*S*H Still Holds A TV History Record 40 Years After It Ended
Image
Of all the popular older shows, "M*A*S*H" is probably the hardest for modern viewers to wrap their heads around. Not only did it go on for eight years longer than the war it was based on, but its finale was watched live by 106 million viewers, or over 60% of all American households. Considering that the recent series finale of "Succession" only brought in an estimated 2.9 million live viewers, this number seems almost impossibly high. Some other huge finales were "Cheers" in 1993 with 84 million viewers, "Seinfeld" in 1998 with 76 million, and "Friends" in 2004 with 66 million.

Of those shows, "M*A*S*H" seems to have stuck around the least in the public consciousness. Everyone still loves Ted Danson, "Friends" had a big resurgence in popularity in 2019, and Netflix bought Seinfeld for $500 million in 2021. While "M*A*S*H" is still referenced a decent amount in pop culture, it sure doesn't seem like Netflix would ever spend $500 million to buy...

Genshin Impact 4.0 Leaks Hydro Traveler's Skill & Burst
Image
Many Genshin Impact 4.0 leaks have surfaced, and the Hydro Traveler’s abilities, including their Elemental Skill and Burst, have been shared. With each new region explored by the Traveler within the world of Teyvat, they gain new powers, related to the local reigning Archon. They start using Anemo abilities in Mondstadt, for instance, and unlock Geo once they arrive in Liyue. There is no secret to changing the Traveler’s Element in Genshin Impact, other than reaching a new nation and interacting with a regional Statue of the Seven. With Hydro being the ruling Element in Fontaine, the Traveler will unlock Hydro abilities once they arrive in the Nation of Justice.

Each Element that the Traveler wields makes them operate differently on the battlefield, with Dendro Traveler being a great support character, while Anemo Traveler tends to be more offensive. Now, with the Genshin Impact 4.0 leaks regarding Hydro Traveler’s skills,...
