    A credit to the genre!

Saw this film recently at MIFF (Melbourne International Film Fest), where it sold out a number of shows. Very funny! Granted, it's a certain type of humour and not everyone will appreciate, but if you like the works of Christopher Guest (Best in Show, Spinal Tap, etc.), G-Sale is top notch!

Upon first blush, G-Sale appears to be a dreary documentary about suburban Yanks who have nothing better to do than to pick among each other's cast-offs. But within ten minutes you realize that this is a sublime satire and you quickly find yourself caught up in the lunacy of some very unique, well-drawn characters.

Writing is brilliant. Acting is wonderfully understated. Can't wait for the sequel!

G-Sale is fun, clever, sophisticated and funny! Characters are as they might be in real life. It's most enjoyable, funny without being hurtful or destructive - seems as though I have encountered some of the characters among the people I know or have known. A number of lines are so subtle, one might wish to see G-Sale twice. A refreshing change from fictional or real life horror and violence.

    Smart writing

Very well-written with a lot of laughs based on eccentric characters and subtle dialogue from Randy Nargi. Acting highlights include Jessi Badami and Ted D'Arms; co-creator Badami gets credit for a good job of casting. A "Little Film That Could" if given a chance for distribution.

    Very, very funny

G-sale is a rich comedy, a microcosmic spoof of some of America's more dubious values... i.e. our penchant for collecting useless stuff, our bigger-is-better quest for more garage space to store the stuff, the absurd lengths to which some of us will go to acquire more stuff, and our reluctance to part with our stuff. I laughed a lot watching G-Sale. Its ridiculous characters all take themselves so seriously in their silly pursuits. Plot twists, payoff lines are completely unexpected. The movie rolls along rapidly, moving from character to character. Each character is completely different from the others, each putting forth their own story. I wish I could have seen it more than once! G-Sale is a well-written, well-acted, worthwhile movie to see.

    Ordinary

I should have walked out. It started bad and it never improved. The actors completely overplay their roles and the added smart alec isn't this fun cuts doesn't seem convincing. While the movie have a few good ideas they are consistently badly implemented and the timing and acting doesn't do it any favours.

I think you will have to be American or the long time owner of a mustache to laugh of this one... It is that special kind of no fun humor that only really appeals to yanks. You know where everything is so obvious and overstated that any fun that could have been is thoroughly eliminated by overstating every point of the joke.
