8 Horror Movie-to-tv Series Adaptations That Didn't Quite Work Out

Bruckheimer rises Down Under
Jerry Bruckheimer is headed to the land Down Under as Australia's Nine network looks for slots in its schedule for at least two of the producer's new season dramas, Closer to Home and E-Ring, it emerged Tuesday at the Los Angeles Screenings. Acquisition executives from Nine, which has an output deal with Warner Bros. International Television, said the two Bruckheimer dramas are among the best new shows they have seen at the Screenings so far. Nine president of programming and acquisitions Andrea Keir said the network will be looking to schedule both shows following screenings at Warner Bros. She added that she also liked several other Warner Bros. programs being shown to foreign TV buyers at the Screenings, including Supernatural. The hourlong drama is about brothers searching for their missing father and encountering supernatural forces on their quest.
