Ang babaeng putik (2000)

Trivia

Ang babaeng putik

Edit
The burning acid effect on the creature was achieved using the exact recipe (containing citric acid) from Dick Smith's Monster Make-up Handbook. Special make-up effects supervisor Rene Abelardo was a fanatical fan of Smith that he consciously chose to use the method as an homage to the legendary make-up effects maestro.
The extended lovemaking montage set in the outdoor cement tub was extensively storyboarded and rehearsed. Star Koronel wanted to use "method" in the rehearsals by doing it completely nude but was overruled by co-star Morales and director Ilarde, who both asked her to don a bikini. Ilarde was particularly uneasy because a nearby village had brought their whole families to observe the shooting.
North American streaming rights acquired by Tidepoint Pictures in 2016. Tidepoint founder Tetsuki Ijichi had previously attempted to acquire the DVD rights from Regal Films a half-decade earlier.
First Filipino film title screened on AMC's horror specialty VOD site Shudder. Curator Colin Geddes had been an admirer of the film from several years back.
Author/Producer Pete Tombs personally selected the film for the Midnight X-treme section of the 2006 edition of the Sitges Film Festival in Catalan, Spain. The film was screened in the 35MM film format.
