The West Wing Documentary Special

Edit
Celebrating the people of the real West Wing, this documentary features interviews with former Presidents Carter, Clinton, and Ford, Secretary of State Kissinger, and more than a dozen White House aides, chiefs of staff, and press secretaries.
The Documentary Special originally aired as a regular episode of The West Wing, but it is included in the boxed DVD set of Season 3 as one of the Special Features on Disc 4.
Many of the interviews were filmed at the Daughters Of The American Revolution's headquarters near the White House in Washington D.C. President Clinton was filmed in his office in New York City, President Carter at the Carter Center in Atlanta, President Ford at a hotel in Rancho Mirage, CA, and Secretary Kissinger in New York. Several other interviews were filmed in New York and San Francisco.
This special interspersed the characters' fictional lives with interviews of real West Wing personnel, including Presidents Ford, Carter, and Clinton; press secretaries Marlin Fitzwater and Dee Dee Myers; presidential advisors David Gergen, Paul Begala, and incumbent Karl Rove; Secretary of State Henry Kissinger; Chief of Staff Leon Panetta; presidential personal secretary Betty Currie; and speechwriter Peggy Noonan.
This documentary is included in the streaming packages of The West Wing (on Netflix, Amazon Prime, HBO Max) as a regular episode of the series. It is listed as Season 3, Episode 19.
