First a couple of things: 1. Despite what the box says the movie is only one hour long, a scant number of seconds over 60 minutes.

2. Only two of experiments actually show up prior to the last two minutes of the movie.

3. This is a rip off if you BUY the film since its nothing more than what should have been the pilot for the show. This should have been shown on TV as part of the show and not as a "movie".

That said its not bad.

Its a "movie" that does not work as a whole but in moments and in throw away lines and actions. It also had a great villain in what is the French Taunter from Holy Grail in hamster form.

The plot, which is more like a hope than a real plot has Gantu being hired by the hamster to get the previous experiments and what happens as a result. There's a bit more to it then that but since its not much more I feel I have to leave something for you to find out on your own.

As I said this is a movie of moments which is what you'll take away from this attack on your wallet by Disney. The moments, and there are many, will have you smiling, or laughing at there cleverness, a cleverness who's level is so high you'll wonder what the hell happened to the rest of the movie...

Is this worth seeing? Yes, but rent it or borrow it, do not buy this.

Will I see it again? On cable or TV.

Frankly this is one of those things that should have worked but doesn't. Its annoying since its as if they had ideas but no idea how to string them into a viable plot...(then again its TV episodes) Allowing that the animation is by turns good, garbage or passable, one wonders if they had three levels of animators working on this each doing a different shot in turn.

This is, on the whole, nowhere near as good as the real movie, who's ending it wipes away completely with talk that the sister and her boyfriend haven't dated, or that some of the events alluded to couldn't have happened in the stills simply because there are now the new creatures. Its as if a few weeks have passed since the end of the theatrical movie, not the year or so that is implied by the end stills.

In pieces and on a level for unstained silliness this is the equal of the first film, but only in the quick moments that never gel.

The first Lilo and Stitch movie was amusing and entertaining and held my 2 year old's interest easily with the Elvis songs running throughout. Ten minutes into this one, however, and my son left the room. It was clearly not meant to be a stand alone movie as the first and fell into the trap as so many movies do today: strictly to set up the sequel. In this case, its the setup for their Saturday cartoon series. Not impressed at all. I agree that this could have been used as part of the actual series and not pushed as a true movie. No wonder I look forward more to Pixar's productions than Disney's nowadays.

This movie was okay, but I feel that it lacks in comparison to the original Lilo & Stitch Movie. I am a HUGE fan of the orginal, becuase I love how obnoxious Stitch is. I also love the first one better becuase the movie seems to incorporate Stitch's awkwardess on earth. I just love the part where he dresses like Elvis and plays guitar. Stitch The Movie is a good effort, but it does not have the magic that the first has. Plus, the fact that this movie is only one hour seems to make one believe that there is money lost in buying the DVD. I gave Lilo and Stitch a 10, but I have to give Stitch The Movie a 5.

While Lilo & Stich is an endearing saga, the Stich: the Movie isn't. Almost all the bits of the original is back, but it is so much flatter, so much less artistic, so much less well-paced.

My wife, who loved L & S, fell asleep while watching it and for anyone that has not seen the first L & S-film it must be utterly incomprehensible.

And even the animation feels rougher, and it sure lacks the deep feelings and suspense of the original, in short a typical low-budget follow-up, that supposedly links the real film with the TV-series (which I have not seen).

A few steps down from the original, 'Stitch! The Movie' is too short to enjoy.

At just 60 minutes it doesn't do enough, so everything it shows simply falls flat. Less heart, not as funny and nowhere near as interesting. It's obvious, especially with the ending, that this only exists to kick off the television series; as opposed to building on the 2002 film.

The cast pleasingly remains the same but their performances aren't as memorable as before. Most of the characters are shoehorned in, especially Bubbles (Ving Rhames) and Capt. Gantu (Kevin Michael Richardson). Jeff Bennett comes in to voice Dr. Hämsterviel, a new character, who is alright.

Forgettable in every way unfortunately. Still one of the better Disney animated sequels, mind.

Stitch! The Movie is a movie that is just made to promote the series. It does provide some detail what the series was going to be about, but the plot is kinda rushed because of its less than one hour running time. The animation is fine, but it does seem limited even for a straight-to-video movie. And some of the characters were written fine, but others aren't much useful for the film. I honestly would recommend if you are going to watch this, just treat this as the first episode of Lilo and Stitch: The Series than an actual film. However if you love the first film and you'd like to see more about Stitch and all of Jumba's other experiments before him, this is worth seeing for yourself. As a movie, it could've took a little more time rather than limiting the running time. But as a way to start the series, at least it tried.

"Stitch ! The Movie" is less of a movie and more of a transition piece, a gateway into the Lilo & Stitch TV series rather than a proper sequel to the original film. While it brings back the charm and heart of the characters we love, it lacks the narrative weight or emotional impact expected from a theatrical follow-up.

The plot introduces the idea of Stitch's "cousins," setting the stage for future episodes, but doesn't stand well on its own. The stakes are low, the structure feels more like a stretched-out TV pilot, and the animation quality, while serviceable, is noticeably downgraded compared to the original.

That said, it's still enjoyable for fans of the franchise. The interactions between Lilo and Stitch remain sweet, and it does its job as a setup for the upcoming series. Just don't go in expecting the depth or polish of the original film.

Sequels are always bad, so I guess I just shouldn't have even bothered watching this one. It's VERY boring and everything that happens in this movie is just a lame thing to try to get the audience to have fun.

Nice try, movie makers, but please don't make a sequel as bad as this one again.

I've never been too impressed with the Disney video sequels. And while "Stitch, the Movie" isn't as good as the original, it's still very good. Also, it sets up the Lilo and Stitch TV series which is even better than the movie! Both "Stitch" and the TV series share the same duel level of humor that make it attractive to both kids and adults. You will see the references and homages to works like Monty Python and other classic humor sources. I haven't enjoyed a cartoon like this since Animaniacs, and it's no wonder since some of the same voices (and maybe writers) are used.

I've seen some negative references in reviews made to Pokemon. Well, that's only a tangental similarity in my opinion. The only negative opinions that I agree with are that Nani has turned into the stereotypical adult figure in kid's shows that doesn't believe the kid until it's too late. On the plus side, the characters of Pleakley, Jumba, Gantu and the new Hamsterviel are much improved.

So, watch the movie, and then watch the TV show!

Stitch! The Movie, the direct-to-video sequel to Lilo & Stitch, picks up right where the original film left off, continuing the story of the unlikely family formed by Lilo, her sister Nani, and their chaotic alien pet, Stitch. The sequel expands the universe by introducing the idea that Stitch isn't the only "Experiment" created by Dr. Jumba-there are 625 others, all with unique powers and personalities. The first "Lilo and Stitch" was a warm and entertaining animated feature, compensated fully by beautiful animation, a nice soundtrack and a superb script that was not only funny but taught morals without feeling slushy. "Stitch! The Movie" was merely okay, but it doesn't have the magic or the sense of fun the first film had. I will give some credit the voice work is very good, Daveigh Chase is very sweet as Lilo and David Ogden Stiers just as he did in the original was marvellous as Jumbaa. Hamsterviel is a good villain, sweet on the outside but quite dangerous really. I liked it that Gantu had more to do here, and there are some decent laughs mostly from Experiment 625. However, the film is too short, at merely an hour there isn't much character development consequently the characters and the relationships between them (Lilo and Stitch's especially) weren't as engaging or as poignant. In both this and the TV series Nani's personality seems somewhat distorted. Also the animation isn't as vibrant, colourful or as detailed as it was in the original, not helped by rushed editing, and the script felt rather shallow. By all means, this movie isn't bad, but it pales in comparison to the original. 5/10 for trying. Bethany Cox

Stitch! The Movie has clearly been made to set up a TV show however, even in this very brief form, it still has enough of the winning heart and charm to be a worthwhile watch. The plot mainly repeats an already explored arc with Stitch yearning for a family he's directly related to before obviously releasing he is already where he's meant to be so the greatest strength is seeing the family work together to rescue Jumba instead.

Dakota Fanning was great in the last one but it undoubtedly feels right to have Daveigh Chase back in the role and she is faultless. Ving Rhames returning to play Cobra Bubbles is a huge surprise, the same applies to Kevin Michael Richardson as Gantu and Jeff Bennett's highly strung hamster like villain is a fun inclusion. Chris Sanders goes back to a more unintelligible version of Stitch which is really funny and heartfelt yet again.

Directors Bobs Gannaway & Tony Craig benefit from a greater scale thanks to the sci-fi heavy shenanigans which also helps the barely an hour run time move quickly. The animation's greatest strength remains the character designs and how they continue to be extremely expressive in a way that defies live action. The score by Michael Tavera is barely noticeable, especially because it's mixed so quietly in some scenes.

A spin off/typical Disney cash in if ever there was one.

There's no reason for this to exist, other than to drag out the popularity (something I never really got) of the original film.

It's fine, passable stuff, but not great.

Let's be frank, Disney always tends to create a franchise by releasing a movie and making sequels with new characters and adventures. When Lilo & Stitch came out, it was in all honesty the very first Disney movie in my life I came to love. When i heard of a sequel and a TV series, the first thing popping into my head was "there goes the magic" well i wasn't at all wrong. Stitch! The movie had to fall into the franchise, it's Disney, but it didn't lose the charm and uniqueness from its predecessor. Maintaining the dysfunctional bunch from the original, the 'straight-to-video' presentation of new adventures and characters is not as exaggerated as before. Fun for the entire family as always, Stitch! The movie is a new deliverance to every Lilo & Stitch fan.

I had bought the movie last night and watched it. I was please with it to the fact that it was cute and funny like the first movie, however I was disappointed that it was only an hour long. I know they are bringing in the T.V. series with finding all 625 of the experiments but I was upset with the way it ended and how short it was. I did like it though and I enjoy very much, I would recommend others to see it as well but the little fact that it was short and the ending upset me.

This is a great Disney animation film for all viewers to watch and enjoy. The crew did a terrific job in creating this Disney animation film. The storyline of this Disney animation film may have been a bit straightforward but it alright and strong. The cast selection was good enough. They did not exactly fully commit nor connect to the storyline nor to their respective characters. The chemistry that was displayed all the way throughout this Disney animation film between the cast members could have been a lot better and stronger. This is a splendid Disney animation film for everyone to watch and enjoy.

So let's continue the review of the Disney sequels Now it's Stitch The Movie So this film was released a year after the success of the classic Lilo and Stitch So this film was made because it was supposed to be the pilot episode of the Lilo and Stitch TV series Indeedbecause here we count all the 625 experiments or all the beings similar to Stitch that he always calls cousins. So I didn't like this film at all because it was only used to produce the series because it doesn't really have much more beautiful moments Yet this film isit was very boring to see the only Beijing that I can save the animation but for the rest it's just boredom but it doesn't have Lilo & Stitch 2 levels because I consider that film to be the worst of all the Stitch films. And thank goodness that the series and also in the other film they did quite wellI didn't like this film but it's not really the worst of the Disney sequels like Mulan 2 The Hunchback of Notre Dame 2 Peter Pan 2 Beauty and the Beast 3 Because I consider these to be the worst to conclude with a rating of 5.

This movie is not really like a sequel. It is like a continuation of Lilo and Stitch. It is better than some of Disney's other "sequels". I don't know if parents will like it but kids will really like it. I'm 20 and I liked it. I don't know how the TV series will be like but it seems to be like a continuation to Stitch! The Movie. See this movie and see the preview of the tv series(on the DVD) and see what you think. If I could give a star rating I would give it 3 out of 4 stars.

This movie, about Stitch who is being hunted down by galactic forces, is an okay spin-off to Lilo & Stitch (2002).

You immediately see the differences with the animation where the drawing lines are thicker, face expressions are stiffer, and scene dynamism is thinner. I know it works as a spin-off and is the beginning of Lilo & Stitch: The Series (2003-2006), but I kind of have similar expectations like its predecessor. Unfortunately, I am disappointed. The movie is somewhat entertaining, and I am glad most of the characters return, but the story just falls flat and is somewhat straightforward although it brings a taste of nostalgia.

In conclusion, this movie offers a nostalgic reunion with beloved characters, but it falls short of capturing the original's charm. While mildly entertaining and serving as a prelude to the series, its animation and story feel underwhelming and simplistic.

Stitch the Movie is honestly kind of depressing when you realize it's the movie that was released right after the first movie (the Lilo and Stitch timeline is all messed up because of Lilo and Stitch 2 which came after this but follows the first movie.)

This movie only exists as a pilot to the TV show, and unlike the TV show, this kinda sucks, even as a pilot. The animation is incredibly stiff and every character just stares into your soul, the voice acting is even worse, (which is odd considering most of the same people reprise their roles), and the entire movie is just mind-numbingly boring up until the 3rd act. Everything before that is just pointless and wastes your time. This easily could have been a 24 minute series premiere, but instead it got stretched into a really long but also somehow egregiously short 1h 8m.

Yeah, I don't recommend this movie. As a pilot to the TV show, it's meh, as a movie in general, it's kinda bad, and as a sequel to Lilo and Stitch, it's awful. 4/10.

Wow i can't believe that Stitch had his own movie in 2003 and way better than Lilo And Stitch 2: Stitch Has A Glitch which this sequel was on the awful movies wiki from miraheze along with Belle's Magical World, Mulan 2, Mickey's Twice Upon A Christmas and The Little Mermaid 3: Ariel's Beginning as a whole it is when Stitch meets a new alien named Sparky, which he turned out from being evil and mischievous character into a nice and sweet person, this is so awesome and better than The Emoji Movie, Mars Needs Moms, Strange Magic, Norm Of The North, The Wild (2006) and Underdog (2007), this is a really funny movie in my opinion.

Feature length pilot that leaves behind the soapiness of the first movie (though I liked how they did it then) and moves into that guns a-blazing, technophilic monster of the week paradigm I would grow to love in the series.

The soft pedalled them is belonging and family again so it's very on-brand but doesn't eclipse anything.

It's great to get more Gantu, Richardson is always brilliant and the character of course is fun too.

This was the first time we really saw stitch as just stitch, not the monster who was tamed by a girl's love. He's still formidable but he is cute rather than terrifying.

Released the year after Disney's 2002 animated feature, "Lilo & Stitch", this was the first of the direct-to-video sequels to that film, but it takes place after the third installment in the movie franchise, 2005's "Lilo & Stitch 2: Stitch Has a Glitch". "Stitch! The Movie" also came out just before the beginning of the spin off TV series, "Lilo & Stitch: The Series", which I haven't seen any episodes of (I've only seen a clip of one episode, featuring a guest voice provided by "Weird Al" Yankovic). I finally saw "Stitch Has a Glitch" just this month and it was basically a mixed blessing to me, unsurprisingly not as good as the original, which I thought was great when I first saw it and pretty good the second time. After seeing this 2003 "Lilo & Stitch" movie (the second one in order of release), I would say it is slightly weaker than the 2005 one.

Dr. Jumba Jookiba, Agent Pleakley, and Stitch are all extraterrestrials now living on Earth with Lilo and Nani in Hawaii. However, Stitch was Jookiba's Experiment 626, which means that the evil scientist made 625 genetic experiments before him, and he happens to be secretly keeping them deactivated in a container! Gantu has been sent to Earth by Dr. Jacques Von Hämsterviel, Jookiba's quick-tempered former lab partner who is very rodent-like in appearance, to capture the experiments, so the ex-captain arrives in Hawaii, abducts Jookiba from the planet, and takes him to Von Hämsterviel for interrogation, so he will tell them where these experiments are! On Earth, Lilo and Stitch activate Experiment 221 in their attempts to save the captured scientist, but this creature escapes and starts going around Hawaii and causing power surges! Meanwhile, Experiment 625 has been taken with Dr. Jookiba, and is activated during his creator's interrogation. He proves to be a lot like 626, but is lazier and loves sandwiches.

Even though I've never watched the "Lilo & Stitch" TV show, it appears some consider this direct-to-video release to be more like a pilot to that series, and I can believe that. Even though it has the word "movie" in the title, it feels more like a long episode of a children's cartoon show, and not very effective to me. There's lots of humour in this first "Lilo & Stitch" sequel, but I didn't usually find it very funny, and that includes the antics of Agent Pleakley for the most part, even though he certainly did make me laugh at times in the first film. It also appears that Dr. Jacques Von Hämsterviel is supposed be a comic relief, but he is even less funny here than Pleakley is, and the running gag with characters mispronouncing his name and another one with some comparing him to a gerbil instead of a hamster, both of which make him angry, are basically other examples of failed attempts at laughs in the film. The humour here is far from terrible, but it isn't usually above mediocre. The plot didn't seem to do much for me, either, even if it does get a little exciting near the end. Unlike the film which started the franchise, I didn't find any parts of "Stitch! The Movie" that touching.

As another direct-to-video sequel to a Disney animated feature (one of the many which have been made since 1994's "The Return of Jafar", the first sequel to 1992's "Aladdin" and the first of Disney's direct-to-video sequel releases), it probably shouldn't surprise viewers if they find it to be bland compared to the theatrical original. Many fans of the 2002 traditionally animated Disney film could easily be disappointed by this first sequel to it, which can probably also be said about "Lilo & Stitch 2: Stitch Has a Glitch", even if it is a bit better than this middle film of the three. I haven't seen 2006's "Leroy & Stitch", so I don't know how that film compares, but I can certainly believe that it's also inferior to the original "Lilo & Stitch", just like the two films that came in between. Overall, "Stitch! The Movie" is basically harmless fluff which many kids could enjoy, but probably not as many adult Disney fans would like it.

I have to say I really enjoyed the sequel to 'Lilo and Stitch' it was just as much fun to watch. Stitch is as adorable as ever and Lilo is as cute, sassy and clever as ever! Lilo and Stitch is my favourite Disney movie as all time as well...I think it is fun fresh and sassy. A nice change from other Disney features involving princesses. What caught my attention with Stitch is that he so totally different for a Disney charachter. A totally cool, hip and cute alien. A very engaging and entertaining pairing with the equally personable and witty Lilo. All the charachters were back and it was still just as much fun to watch as the first.
