Episode 8, Nanvel Kidnapped! final showdown is a parody of one of the Neon Genesis Evangelion episode fight. Many of the English vocal cast also given their voices to the Evangelion characters.
In Slam Tank Part 1, the transporter-plane door sound is the same for the sound heard in Aliens, le retour (1986) for the power loader.
