In the original 1936 credits, Linda Perry was billed second, and Jane Wyman third. For the 1948-1949 re-release, seen today on Turner Classic Movies, new title credits were designed, Wyman was moved up to second place, and a 1948 copyright was displayed.
Dick Foran, seen here as the red-headed parson, was already well known as a "singing cowboy" when he made this. He later was under contract at Universal, where he alternated between doing B-Movie Westerns and appearing in many a monster movie, such as La Main de la momie (1940).

The Sunday Round-Up (1936) was Jane Wyman's very first film to appear as a credited performer. She had begun film acting a few years before. Here, she appears as a saloon singer entertainer in the role of "Butte Soule." During her long film career, she was Oscar-nominated three times as Best Actress for her performances in Jody et le Faon (1946), La Femme au voile bleu (1951) and Le secret magnifique (1954), and she won an Oscar® for Best Actress as the deaf-mute rape victim "Belinda MacDonald" in Johnny Belinda, l'enfant du silence (1948).
