Is Hollywood ready for the biggest divorce since Brangelina?
Heck, is America?!?
According to various reports over the last several weeks, Barack Obama and Michelle Obama are struggling.
If you believe what Us Weekly even dared to publish this winter, the former President of the United States is “obsessed” with actress Jennifer Aniston… who told Jimmy Kimmel a short time ago that any speculation over her having a relationship with Obama is “absolutely untrue.”

But does that mean the Obamas’ marriage is safe?

Peter and Bobby Farrelly's 2005 romantic comedy "Fever Pitch," based on the Nick Hornby novel, was about the relationship travails of a level-headed businesswoman named Lindsey (Drew Barrymore) as she attempted to date a funny and charming schoolteacher named Ben (Jimmy Fallon). Ben admits early in their courtship that he is a fan of the Boston Red Sox. Nay, not just a fan, but an embarrassingly devoted superfan who attends all their games. Lindsey doesn't know much about baseball, and she has to accept that, if she wants to keep seeing Ben, she'll have to attend many, many baseball games with him. She'll also have to follow his emotional ups and downs as his favorite team wins or loses.
Curiously, Hornby's original book wasn't about a baseball team, but Arsenal, an English football club. The title "Fever Pitch" makes more sense with baseball.
"Fever Pitch" was fine, and nothing more.

Amazon MGM packs its bags for Sporkinfeesten, a family vacation comedy with Bobby Farrelly directing
Say it with me: Sporkinfeesten. Have you got that? No? Don’t worry; eventually, it’ll roll right off your tongue. Bobby Farrelly, co-director of Dumb and Dumber, Kingpin, There’s Something About Mary, and the director of 2023’s feelgood sports comedy Champions, is packing his bags for Sporkinfeesten, a family vacation comedy at Amazon MGM. Sporkinfeesten, based on a spec script by Aaron and Will Eisenberg, is based on a true story about “finding your roots.”
Plot details remain a mystery, but it’s Farrelly’s next project after wrapping production on Dear Santa, starring Jack Black, Keegan-Michael Key, Brianne Howrey, and Post Malone about a young boy who, in writing his yearly note to Santa, mixes up the letters and it to Stan instead.

Jimmy Fallons career has been widely successful, but one of his first big movie roles, Taxi, was not well-received. Fallon received the breakthrough role of his career in 1998 when he started his tenure as a cast member on Saturday Night Live. Fallon was 24 years old at the time, making a part on SNL critical to his rise in prominence as a comedian. He continued his work on Saturday Night Live for several years before ending his tenure in 2004.
During his time on Saturday Night Live, Fallon was known for his amusing roles as well as his tendency to break character. Fallon was seen laughing copious times during SNL sketches, a phenomenon that, while showing him failing to keep full composure in these comedy segments, also endeared audiences to him. After developing a fanbase on his Saturday Night Live days, Fallon transitioned into the film acting portion of his career. The result of this process,...

It’s October now, which means that the temporary haunted house business is in full swing. If you’re not interested in exploring the monster-filled dreamscape of the dude from Fever Pitch, there’s always Universal Studios’ Halloween Horror Nights. The popular annual attraction features various spooky mazes inspired by movies and TV shows including A Quiet Place, Insidious and Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire, which may or may not end with a scare actor dressed as Dan Aykroyd popping out of a wall and forcing you to buy his vodka.
The event rarely takes inspiration from comedies, but in 2015, Universal unveiled a haunted maze based on a Seth Rogen movie. While one could argue that The Green Hornet is Rogen’s most horrifying work to date, the maze was actually themed around This Is the End.
This Is the End starred Rogen, James Franco, Danny McBride and Jay Baruchel as fictional...

The Chicago Fire cast introduced a surprise character during the season premiere.
Much of the episode dealt with the new chief at Firehouse 51 and his different leadership style.
Actor Dermot Mulroney plays Chief Dom Pascal, a mysterious new character within the One Chicago universe.
Chief Wallace Boden (Eamonn Walker) left during the previous season finale, but the character still resides in Chicago. It’s possible that he could pop up now and then, much like how Jesse Spencer pops in and out as Matthew Casey.
Chief Pascal ushered in many changes at Firehouse 51 during that first episode, including chats after each call with his lieutenants.
As the season premiere wrapped up, Chief Pascal was shown arriving at home after an extended shift. He found the locks changed.
A window to the house opened, revealing the person we would later learn was Monica Pascal, his estranged wife.
Much more will come...

Conan O’Brien fans might not be ready to accept the suggestion that Jimmy Fallon may eventually end his career as a more prolific late-night host than CoCo, but facts are facts. While Conan couldn’t last more than a few months on The Tonight Show, Fallon stuck around on the iconic show long enough to break records — Conan’s records.

Stephen King has had a Midas Touch since he published his first novel, Carrie, in 1974. Most of his books have not only topped the New York Times bestseller list but have also been adapted into movies and TV shows. He is now second-highest among the authors with the most adaptations, ranking only behind the legendary William Shakespeare.
Throughout his career, King has left a trail of imaginary gore and chills in his wake, earning himself the title The King of Horror. Additionally, he has experimented with genres like fantasy, crime, science fiction, and mystery, resulting in equally gripping works like The Shawshank Redemption, 11/22/63, and The Green Mile.
Apart from being an author, King has proven to be a great consumer of film and television, and as such, has made cameos in several movies and TV shows, not all of which were adapted from his work. In fact, we're here to...

As a Stephen King fan, I always enjoy seeing the bestselling author pop up in cameo appearances. Over the years, King has made plenty of cameos, and even done some full-blown acting, like when he played doomed farmer Jordy Verrill in "Creepshow." For the most part, King tends to cameo in projects adapted directly from his work. But every now and then, the master of horror will put in an appearance in someone else's material. He did a guest voice spot (as himself) on "The Simpsons," he shows up in the rom-com "Fever Pitch," and he was even on "Frasier" once. If you ask King, his best acting work isn't in a Stephen King project at all. No, according to the author, his "finest moment" was when he showed up on the hit TV series "Sons of Anarchy."

Exclusive: NBC’s Chicago Fire has cast KaDee Strickland for a recurring role in Season 13. The new season begins Sept. 25 at 8 p.m. on NBC and next day on Peacock.
She will portray Monica Pascal, the new Fire Chief Dom Pascal’s (Dermot Mulroney) estranged wife. As Deadline reported in July, Mulroney joined the popular firefighter drama as Boden’s (Eamonn Walker) successor following his exit as a series regular in the Season 12 finale.
Before Boden was promoted to Deputy Commissioner of the Chicago Fire Department, he had chosen Christopher Herrmann (David Eigenberg) as his successor. James B. Sikking, the Steven Bochco favorite who portrayed the no-nonsense Lt. Howard Hunter on Hill Street Blues and the good-hearted doctor dad on Doogie Howser, M.D., has died. He was 90.
Sikking died Saturday at his Los Angeles home of complications from dementia, publicist Cynthia Snyder announced.
Although best known for his TV work, Sikking did have notable turns on the big screen as a mocking hitman in John Boorman’s Point Blank (1967), as the stuffy Captain Styles in Leonard Nimoy‘s Star Trek III: The Search for Spock (1984) and as the director of the FBI in Alan J. Pakula’s The Pelican Brief (1993).
After spending the better part of two decades showing up on such shows as The Outer Limits, Honey West, The Fugitive, Hogan’s Heroes and Mannix, Sikking was cast as the pipe-smoking Hunter, leader of the Swat-like Emergency Action Team, on NBC’s Hill Street Blues.

Noted talk-show host Jimmy Fallon would have had a completely different life if he had picked up on a hint years ago. The SNL alum was reportedly blindsided when actress Nicole Kidman brought up a ‘date’ they had back when she was single after her divorce from Tom Cruise. Fallon reportedly did not know that it was a date.
The talk-show host later revealed that he was extremely embarrassed by the revelation, which came after Kidman married country rockstar Keith Urban. Fallon also revealed that in the years since Kidman’s confession, the crush has become a running joke between the three and has even led Fallon to prank Kidman.

Peter Farrelly reveals why There's Something About Mary 2 never happened. Unlike the case of Dumb and Dumber, the director felt that the story had ended. Cameron Diaz and Ben Stiller's careers were boosted by the film, as they both had iconic roles following the 1998 romantic comedy.
Peter Farrelly reveals why There’s Something About Mary 2 never happened. Farrelly is the writer and director of the 1998 romantic comedy There’s Something About Mary, which follows the story of a man who meets up with his dream girl from high school despite having had a disastrous date with her when they were younger. There’s Something About Mary featured a leading cast including Cameron Diaz, Matt Dillon, and Ben Stiller.
Years later, Farrelly explains why a sequel to There’s Something About Mary never happened. Speaking with Comic Book, Farrelly said that the studio “did talk about a sequel” when There’s Something About Mary initially came out.

Queen Latifah expresses openness to making a sequel to the 2004 movie Taxi, which she starred in alongside Jimmy Fallon. Despite receiving poor reviews, Taxi was a commercial success, grossing $71.2 million against its $25 million budget. The possibility of Taxi 2 likely depends on Jimmy Fallon's schedule, as he has largely stepped away from scripted performances in recent years.
Queen Latifah has shared that she would consider making a Taxi sequel. The 2004 action-comedy movie starred Latifah as taxi driver Belle Williams, who gets mixed up in a high-octane adventure when she picks up Detective Andrew Washburn (Jimmy Fallon) and ends up helping him solve bank robberies. The movie was critically panned and currently stands at 9% on Rotten Tomatoes and 27 out of 100 on Metacritic.

Once it emerged that Justin Timberlake was returning to Saturday Night Live, it was inevitable that Barry Gibb would make an appearance.
Timberlake and Jimmy Fallon brought The Barry Gibb Talk Show back for its seventh appearance – over 10 years since it was last on the show.
Watch above.
As ever, the Tonight Show host and the former NSync star played Barry Gibb and his quiet brother Robin, who doesn’t have anything to add.
Continuing to use the Bee Gees’ “Nights on Broadway” as the basis for their parody, the Gibbs were joined by Bowen Yang, Keenan Thompson and host Dakota Johnson.
“You look like if Don King ate another Don King,” said Fallon’s Barry Gibb. “I fear nothing; I watched Saltburn with my entire family and I knew about the bathtub scene beforehand.”
“I am legend; I have not cried in 77 years except for Australian show Bluey,” he added.

It’s a lean month for new original content on HBO/Max. November will see the return of two scripted series in Julia and Rap Sh!t, both of which are debuting their respective second seasons, but this month’s fresh highlight is likely to be Bookie, a new comedy series from the partnership of The Big Bang Theory creator Chuck Lorre, and Nick Bakay. The show tracks an LA bookie called Danny (Sebastian Maniscalco), whose business is in peril as California movies to legalize sports gambling.
Elsewhere in November, there quite a few interesting documentaries to keep an eye on, and two that jump out as “must watch”. The first is Albert Brooks: Defending My Life, which chronicles the aging comedian’s life and career. The second is the previously-released Little Richard: I Am Everything, which tries to peel back the whitewashed canon of Richard Penniman in a true...

Horror author Stephen King has provided the source material for some of the most riveting films of the past 40 years. The Shining, The Green Mile, Carrie, Stand By Me, The Shawshank Redemption, and It among many other modern cinematic classics are all based on King's written works. In some of the adaptations of his books, King even graces the silver screen with a cameo. On occasion, he'll even play himself in projects beyond his own bibliography. He threw out the Red Sox's opening pitch in 2005's Fever Pitch and voiced himself in the Season 12 Simpsons episode, "Insane Clown Poppy." One of his most overlooked contributions to the screen, however, is also his sweetest, as he lent his voice to a scene in an unassuming romantic comedy, which in turn portrays King in a down-to-earth and earnest manner.

Though the SAG-AFTRA strike is still in effect, late night will return starting on Friday with a new episode of HBO’s “Real Time with Bill Maher.” It’s a timeline that puts late night in an odd position: Which guests can appear on late night when the actors’ strike is still in progress?
Luckily, we have an answer to that question thanks to daytime television and SAG-AFTRA’s own rules.
Why can late night return during the SAG-AFTRA strike?
The state of late night is a little bit confusing, because several hosts have also done acting work and are part of SAG-AFTRA. For example, Jimmy Fallon starred in “Fever Pitch” and John Oliver starred in “Community,” as well as the live-action “Lion King.”

When Jimmy Fallon returns to the air in October following the end of the WGA strike, it will continue his 14th year as the host of an NBC late night talk show. The “Saturday Night Live” alum got his late night start by taking over for Conan O’Brien as the host of “Late Night,” which Fallon led from March 2, 2009 to Feb. 7, 2014. But Fallon would’ve never booked the “Late Night” gig in the first place had it not been for “SNL” creator Lorne Micheals threatening NBC executives.
“I was leaving ‘SNL’ [in 2004] and so [Michaels] goes, ‘Would you ever want to do it? Allegations of toxic workplace behavior against Jimmy Fallon have surfaced, with claims of erratic behavior and "outbursts" on the set of The Tonight Show. The premise of Nancy Meyers' 2006 romance "The Holiday" is rather high concept. Iris (Kate Winslet), a reporter in England, has just broken up with her cheating boyfriend. Amanda (Cameron Diaz), a Los Angeles native and showbiz impresario, has just done the same. By chance, the two heartbroken women discover a want-ad in the newspaper wherein they would swap homes for the holidays and live in each other's respective towns. Amanda, while in England, finds some unexpected romantic company with Iris' visiting brother Graham (Jude Law). The two decide to have a fling, but end up seeing each other more and more. Iris, meanwhile, settling in L.A., finds herself drifting closer and closer toward a friend of her ex, a charming and funny dude named Miles (Jack Black). Exclusive: Jack Black and brothers Bobby and Peter Farrelly, the team behind the 2001 comedy Shallow Hal, look to be reuniting for the holidays — and bringing an infamous character along for the sleigh ride. Sources tell Deadline that Black is set to star in the Christmas comedy Dear Santa with Bobby Farrelly set to direct and Peter Farrelly on board to produce with Bobby and Jeremy Kramer.
The movie centers on a young boy who, in writing his yearly note to Santa, mixes up the letters and sends it to Satan instead. Black recently teased the project on social media when he posted a photo of him posing with Christmas decorations with no context — it got everyone talking about what it could be.

‘I thought the film was dead. But then one morning my newsagent, a fellow Arsenal fan, gave me a note that said: “Call Stephen Frears.” It was an unconventional approach’
There was a version of High Fidelity in my head before I wrote Fever Pitch. It wasn’t a high-concept book: the original idea was to write about a relationship from a guy’s point of view. I remember telling my agent about it and seeing her eyes glaze over as I mumbled about record shops and relationships. I’ve spent a lot of time in record shops but I have never worked in one, so I based it on people I’d seen and conversations I’d heard. The girlfriends were archetypal.

Drew Barrymore shared some very exciting news on the Feb. 23 episode of her talk show, "The Drew Barrymore Show," during which she revealed that she and longtime collaborator Adam Sandler are looking to do another movie together.
During the episode, Barrymore talked to her cohost Ross Matthews about how Tom Hanks and Robin Wright - who starred together in "Forrest Gump" - are teaming up for a new film together. Matthews said, "And I love when people we love in movies like reteam for a movie. So, I'm gonna ask you on behalf of everyone, you and Adam Sandler, are we doing another one?"
Barrymore confessed, "We are definitely talking about it. For sure." Matthews called it "breaking news."
"There's actual conversations happening?" he asked. "There's conversations to find the thing," Barrymore confirmed. "We're always, I think it's very script story specific, and yeah, we're actively seeking the right thing.

It was the second day back from the holidays, at the start of January, when Seth Meyers tested positive for Covid-19. He was immediately sent home, and a week’s worth of shows were canceled.
“I had no symptoms, so I was fine,” Meyers recounts. “But the whole family had it. So, it wasn’t the worst group of people to be stuck with, obviously.”
It’s one of the more unusual aspects of hosting a talk show in 2022, something that others including Jimmy Fallon, James Corden and Jimmy Kimmel (twice!) have also experienced: A positive Covid diagnosis that sends your show either into repeats or guest hosts.
Meyers spoke to Variety’s Awards Circuit podcast during a recent stop in Los Angeles, his first trip to the city in three years, before the pandemic began.
To kick off the conversation, we unearthed a copy of his alma mater Northwestern University’s 1996 freshman facebook,...
