Decca to release rousing ‘Planet 51′ score
Decca Records, a label who has been less active in the soundtrack business lately, will release the original soundtrack album from Planet 51, the upcoming animated Sony sci-fi comedy, on November 17. The original orchestral music is composed by James Brett, a British composer whose previous credits include Outpost and Gladiatress and who has worked as a score co-producer, conductor and additional music writer for composers such as Michael Kamen, ...

James Brett: Planet 51
British composer James Brett is currently working on his score for the upcoming animated sci-fi comedy Planet 51, according to agency Hothouse Music. James' previous credits include Gladiator spoof Gladiatress, last year's UK horror film Outpost and the new TV series Crusoe. Planet 51 is a Spanish/British co-production directed by Jorge Blanco and featuring an impressive voice cast including Dwayne Johnson, Seann William Scott, Jessica Biel, Gary Oldman and John Cleese. Graham Walker and Liz Schrek are handling music supervision duties on the film.
