Kelly Clarkson had a cameo appearance on the hit ABC series The Rookie in 2023. Looking back, she's feeling sorry for the way that she acted on the set.
Clarkson discussed her guest appearance on the Season 5 episode, "Death Notice," during a Q&a session for The Kelly Clarkson Show. She shared how she was ecstatic when the offer came in to appear on The Rookie, as she was already a very big fan of the series. Unfortunately, she was perhaps too much of a fan, as she says the shoot was the most nervous she's ever felt on a set. This led to her acting like an "idiot," and she is now offering an apology to the cast and crew.

As someone who grew up loving movies in the 1980s, I can’t help but wonder if we’ll ever shut up about movies from the 1980s. Yeah, a lot of those movies were good. A lot of them also stank out loud. You could make both those statements about any decade for the last 120 years. When, oh when will filmmakers finally move on and, just for a change of pace, make some cinematic love letters to the summer “The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen” and “From Justin to Kelly” came out?
Not today, that’s for sure. “The 4:30 Movie” is a nostalgic throwback to the sleepy summer of 1986, when teenagers watched wrestling religiously, made ironic predictions about the Mets never winning the World Series, and spent all day at the movies jumping from theater to theater. The mission was simple: Buy one ticket to a film rated G, PG...

Bill Hader or, at least, an animated character that he voices, will don a red-and-white striped top hat in a new adaptation of Dr. Seuss’ “The Cat in the Hat.”
The “Barry” star will lead a vocal ensemble that also includes Quinta Brunson (“Abbott Elementary”), Bowen Yang (“SNL”), Xochitl Gomez (“Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness”), Matt Berry (“What We Do in The Shadows”) and Paula Pell (“Girls5eva”). Warner Bros. Pictures Animation and Dr. Seuss Enterprises officially announced the casting on Monday.
“The Cat in the Hat” will open in theaters on March 6, 2026. Although the book is a children’s classic, it has a checkered cinematic legacy. A 2003 live-action adaptation, starring Mike Myers as he was riding high off of “Austin Powers,” collapsed at the box office. It earned $134 million on a $109 million budget and became a money-loser when marketing and distribution costs were factored into the equation. It...

In Hollywood, there are certain movies that actors may look back on, and regret performing in. Actors such as Forest Whitaker and George Clooney regret taking on certain roles due to the critical failure of the movies. Actors such as Eddie Redmayne and Timotheé Chalamet regret certain roles due to controversy surrounding their movies.
In Hollywood, sometimes, actors may look back on certain roles that they took throughout their careers and think they shouldn't have taken them. Many actors in the film industry have spoken about past negative choices they made in terms of movie roles. Some have been critical of particular roles and have even poked fun at the decisions that they made in their career.

Outstanding performances can elevate even the worst musicals, like Maddie Ziegler's in "Music" and Gene Kelly's in "Xanadu." Despite critical and commercial failures, talents like Kelly Clarkson in "From Justin to Kelly" and Michelle Pfeiffer in "Grease 2" are worth watching. Cher's powerful vocals in "Burlesque" and Emmy Rossum's remarkable portrayal of Christine in "Phantom of the Opera" solidify their status as entertainment legends.
Musicals, one of the most beloved genres in Hollywood, have produced some great performances even in bad movies. Full of enchanting performances, catchy songs, and dazzling theatrics, it's easy to see why they are so popular. When done well, they can be extraordinary, but not all musicals hit the mark. Over the years, some have failed to resonate with critics and audiences. But even in less successful musicals, there can be outstanding performances by actors that make them worth watching. The Kelly Clarkson Show –Kelly Clarkson — (Photo by: Weiss Eubanks/NBCUniversal) If there was one single day that changed the trajectory of Kelly Clarkson’s life, it would be safe to say it was the day she auditioned for the first season of an unknown show called American Idol. You’d have to be Rip van Winkle to not know how the story ends: Clarkson won that first season of Idol; became a platinum-selling, Grammy-winning artist; starred in the movie From Justin to Kelly, and became a mentor and coach on The Voice; and become an Emmy-nominated daytime talk show host. It’s been quite a ride for Clarkson, thanks to that successful audition, and she remembers it like it was yesterday. February is the shortest month of the year but Prime Video is paying that no mind with its jam-packed list of new releases for February 2023.
This really is an uncommonly stuffed month on the Amazon streamer and it all starts with a handful of Amazon Originals. Amazon’s original offerings kick off with the release of Dave Franco-directed romcom Somebody I Used to Know on Feb. 10. That is followed by Carnival Row season 2 – a gritty fantasy crime drama is set in a world of steampunky fairies. The show stars Orlando Bloom and Cara Delevigne and this batch of episodes will be its swan song. Meanwhile The Consultant on Feb. 24 is a dark comedy workplace thriller starring Christoph Waltz.
The biggest hits this month, however, might just be some recent cinema faves. If February is for lovers, Amazon didn’t get the memo as there are quite a few horror movies of note here.

I don’t think Spice World: The Movie is as good as Inception.

Boasting a hard-won 3.4/10 score on IMDb, Spice World: The Movie pops up from time to time in lists slamming films involving pop stars, or, if it’s lucky, it appears on the ‘guilty pleasure’ carousel. For added fun, the late Roger Ebert had it as one of the films that he most hated. Yikes.

As the Marvel and DC universes expand, audiences were treated to more superhero flicks than you could shake a cape at. But which was the best?
It might be slightly redundant to say that superhero movies have entered their baroque phase. After all, unbridled spectacle, melodrama, and ornate design elements are inherent to the genre. Still, the 2016 slate of comic book epics felt even more exaggerated than usual. There are more of these movies than ever, with budget-bulging cataclysmic finales all gunning to top each other. The superhero films (and spin-off TV series) that succeeded most emphatically are the ones that went just a notch smaller, to satisfying effect.
This spring’s Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, a film reviled by critics, opens with the destruction of most of downtown Metropolis within the first 10 minutes. That this is a callback to the end of the previous film in the DC Comics continuity,...

Fox’s treatment of Marvel properties is unacceptable. There, I’ve established how I feel. Now, let’s run down why it’s so exciting that one day we may see them work with Marvel in a capacity similar to Sony. To put it bluntly, it feels like Fox is just in it for the money. I’m aware of how capitalism works, but the difference between someone who cares about what they are doing and someone rifling through your pockets is glaringly obvious. Many of you will disagree, but let’s take a peek back in time. We’ll begin with X-Men.
In 2000, a time before Sam Raimi’s first Spider-Man film, X-Men was a triumph. Not many people cared about the fact that Hugh Jackman looked nothing like the comic book version of Wolverine. It was just cool to see a man with claws tearing through stuff. But,...

She filmed From Justin to Kelly alongside fellow alum Justin Guarini. She regrets the project so much, in fact, that she has joked with her nanny that she would fire her if she ever showed the movie to her daughter River Rose. When asked by Rolling Stone if she would "burn all the existing copies" of it, she responded, "No, I think I would have to own it first. But that is something I will look into." She added, "I have a little joke with our nanny, because she told me she loves that movie....

Fox announced on Monday (May 11) morning that "American Idol" has been renewed for the 2015-16 season, but that next year's installment will be its last. Per the official Fox release, host Ryan Seacrest and all three current judges -- Jennifer Lopez, Keith Urban and Harry Connick Jr -- will return to "search for the final 'Idol' superstar and pay tribute to the past 14 seasons of amazingly talented contestants and the millions of fans who tweeted, texted and championed their Idols." Whether you've watched "American Idol" from the beginning and still tune in on a weekly basis or you've looked down your nose at "Idol" for its role in reality-izing network television, it would be foolish not to look at this as the end of a rather major era. Adapted from the British "Pop Idol" format, "American Idol" premiered in the summer of 2002 and developed into a burgeoning sensation,...

Kelly Clarkson has been making the press rounds to talk about her latest album, Piece by Piece, but she wasn't just chatting about her music during an appearance on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen on Thursday. Kelly played "Plead the Fifth" with Andy and admitted, finally, that she did in fact date her fellow American Idol contestant Justin Guarini. There was speculation that Kelly and Justin, who took first and second place, respectively, on the first-ever season of Idol in 2002, were dating at the time, but she cleared those rumors up saying, "We didn't date during Idol, which everybody thought we were dating. We did date a little bit. Any two people who are thrown together that much . . . I'm just sayin'" They remained close after the successful premiere season of the reality competition, since they went on to star together in the musical From Justin to Kelly. Kelly said of that project,...

Kelly Clarkson has no need to "Plead the Fifth."
The always candid Kelly played Andy Cohen's popular game on Bravo's Watch What Happens Live on Thursday night, when the 32-year-old "Heartbeat Song" singer got defensive about her infamous August 2013 tweet calling out MTV's Video Music Awards performers that year.
"Just saw a couple performances from the Vma's last night. 2 words.... #pitchystrippers," she tweeted.

The legendary love story in "From Justin to Kelly" was the real deal. Kelly Clarkson and her Season One runner-up Justin Guarini followed up their time on "American Idol" with one of the best worst movies ever made, the aforementioned movie musical that took place during Spring Break in Miami. And while the romance wasn't exactly realistic on film, sparks were flying off set. The "Heartbeat Song" singer was on "Watch What Happens Live" last night, where Andy Cohen put her in the hot seat for a round of Plead the 5th -- and that's where the truth about Justin came out. "We didn't date during 'Idol,'" Clarkson said after he asked whether they hooked up. "We did date a little bit. I think any two people that are thrown together that much would date. Guy, girl, 'Timeless' [a duet from their musical], put that song on, you can't fight it!" Cohen also...

“I just hope [River Rose] finds love,” Clarkson says. “It took me a while, man. And there was a lot of heartache throughout those years. You know, as long as she’s happy, I don’t care either way, and neither does my husband. And we have two other kids as well, and we don’t care either way for all of them.”

Anyone holding their breath for a From Justin to Kelly sequel (do those people exist?) should let out a giant exhale right about now.

What are some films that you would consider to be the worst of all time? Tommy Wiseau’s The Room? John Travolta’s Battlefield Earth? Mariah Carey’s Glitter? Well, according to film review aggregator Rotten Tomatoes, there are films that are much worse out there. While the movies just mentioned are bad, they still have their fair share of positive reviews on the popular website.
Today we are going to be looking at ten films that have the dishonorable distinction of having a zero percent rating on Rotten Tomatoes. These are films that apparently no reviewer can find any merit in whatsoever. We’d like to argue that these next films don’t necessarily deserve that distinction. Now, these movies are far from masterpieces (heck, they’re not even all that good) but they deserve at least a 1% rating for goodness sake!

Wait—from Justin to Kelly was real?! Apparently, according to Justin Guarini, who recently confirmed he was indeed previously romantically involved with American Idol winner Kelly Clarkson. The 35-year-old singer shared the news during his one-man stage show "Lovesick," according to a review on Mcall.com, which opened Friday at Bucks County Playhouse in New Hope, Pa. Last night marked Robin Williams and Sarah Michelle Gellar's TV returns (his first series regular gig in more than 30 years, she last starred in 2012's Ringer) but judging from social media reactions, you'd think Kelly Clarkson was actually the star of The Crazy Ones.
And it's easy to understand that fan logic since the singer absolutely knocked her role, a sexed-up warped version of Kelly Clarkson, out of the park. Something I don't think anyone who saw From Justin To Kelly was expecting. Clearly the 11 years since that movie came out has made Kelly infinitely more comfortable in front of the camera and in her own skin.

There have been many movies inspired by television shows and several movies inspired by the idea of reality TV, but few movies have hit the big screen that feature reality TV shows and reality TV stars. We're pretty sure From Justin to Kelly has something to do with that. Nonetheless, One Chance is on its way to theaters, and from the looks of the trailer, it might just be delightful. The movie is based on the life of Paul Potts, the winner of the first season of Britain's Got Talent. Most humans with both souls and internet access will remember him as the opera-singing cell phone salesman who made you cry when he sang Puccini's "Nessun Dorma." Sure, we all know how this one ends, but he does have an awfully inspiring story. It's getting its UK release in just a few weeks, but it won't be in Us theaters...

It's finally Labor Day Weekend, which means the summer movie going season is officially closed for business starting this Monday. As summer winds down, and we head into September, many movie fans have made one thing very clear. They think this summer has been a complete wash! But is this summer any different than last summer, or the summer before that? How about a decade removed? Did we have bombs as big as The Lone Ranger, R.I.P.D. and After Earth ten years ago?
