Michael Gross in Tremors 4 : La Légende commence (2004)

Trivia

Tremors 4 : La Légende commence

Edit
As silly as it looks, the 2 inch bore giant shot gun was a real thing. It was used to shoot entire flocks of ducks at once. You would mount the gun on a flat bottomed boat (a punt) aim at the side of the lake where a flock was feeding and fire.
Michael Gross was the only person to appear in all six "Tremors" movies. In Tremors (1990), Tremors 2 : Les Dents de la terre (1996), Tremors 3 : Le Retour (2001),Tremors 6: A Cold Day in Hell (2018) and Tremors 5: Bloodlines (2015), he played Burt Gummer. In Tremors 4 : La Légende commence (2004), he played Hiram Gummer, an ancestor of Burt Gummer. He also played Burt Gummer in the TV show Tremors (2003).
The film specifically takes place in 1889 for a reason: it is to mirror the original Tremors by taking place exactly 100 years before it. Contrary to popular belief, the original Tremors takes place in 1989 and not 1990, the year it was released. The movie was filmed in 1989 and was also set to be released that year before being pushed back to early 1990.
The Remington Mark III single-shot 10-gauge pistol was the only gun used in the film that was not historically accurate. Being manufactured from 1915-1918 according to Stampede Entertainment, "S.S. Wilson and Michael Gross loved it so much they decided to use it anyway" the handgun can be seen when Hiram gives it to Lu Wan to use in the final battle. However, Hiram calls it a "derringer". It is used by Lu Wan to blow the head off a tentacle of the Graboid that attacks her on the wagon.
Shooters" is the unofficial fan name for the baby graboids, and they are dubbed so in the Tremors encyclopedia. However, being a non-canon site, it is not their official name. In fact on the stampede entertainment site they are frequently called "Grablites", short for Graboid "Lite". The most agreed-upon name is "Dirt Dragon", although this was also used to refer to the full-sized Graboids. As the Dirt Dragons have not yet been encountered in the modern day, it is unknown what their name would be.
