Tout le monde en parle is a great talk show

I am french, I lived in England during three years and I am very fed up of seeing the same kind of junks in both the french and English television. In my opinion there is only one exception : the talk show Tout le monde en parle presented by the famous french presenter Thierry Ardisson. This emission simply offers everything you ever wanted to see and hear in a talk show. It can be entertaining, informative, funny, serious, sad, controversial... I like the emission so much that I launch a web site dedicated to it. If you have a cable TV you can watch it on TV5. Unfortunately you will have to speak french. If you don't it might be a very good opportunity for you to learn.

    love to hate it

this show was very good when it first started but as everything, with time it withered and just became typically Ardisson: blotted self-indulgent and frankly too tacky.

however, this show is or at least used to be (when I was still living in France about a year ago) the must see of the week, just to know what's hot and what's not and particularly to have something to criticize with your friends on Monday mornings. The show has had its really good times and has tried to attract international celebrities over the last few years. But Ardisson's absolute lack of tact repelled some such as Milla Jovovitch.

After the show's initial success, Marco Fogiel, ex protégé and nowadays arch enemy of Ardisson, launched another show called On ne peut pas plaire à tt le monde (you can't please everyone) on the same principle but with less sex (reason why it was moved to prime time). Funnily enough both shows are featured on state owned TV channels and are proof of France Télévision's need to make money and desire to appeal to a young and "hip" audience (Ardisson has been considering himself as the epitome of cool for the last 20 years... hum hum).

Nice try, but I think that by now they need something new. Ardisson should perhaps go back to his Kingdom of Paris Première. If you can stand the man, that channel who features him all the time in several shows, is actually pretty interesting in terms of cultural mags ... but is sometimes even too Parisian and elitist for me. It's still a very good cultural experience and is extremely French for all the good and bad that it implies.

    Funny, funny, funny

This is one of the funniest talk-shows on TV today. On every show there's a wide range of artists, writers, performers, actors, comedians and sometimes everyday people. Besides talking about what's hot and what's not in French society and culture, they also make sure to talk about something more "serious". So it's funny...with an edge. If you understand French and get a chance to watch it sometime, be sure to do it. You won't be disappointed.

The best talk show on television - anywhere!

This is a three-and-a-half hour weekly show with a wide-ranging, ever changing, incredibly diverse and (mostly) up-to-the-minute guest list and it's the best talk show on television - anywhere! Politicians, authors, entertainment stars, sports figures, other famous figures and members of the public all appear together and they sometimes face very tough questions, which they're not allowed to "spin" away from. Deep research is reflected by the questions asked. They're not scared to have on guests from other countries who don't speak French - their translators do an incredibly quick and accurate job and as soon as the question is asked in French the guest answers in their own language, which is then translated back into French. The choice of music used in the show is also incredible. Could you imagine a talk show this long and with such guests in the US? Never! Their on-set use of multiple monitors and portable TV screens, allowing a unique perspective of guests, is ingenious, yet so simple! Don't get this confused with the Canadian spin-off, which is dire by comparison. Ardisson is moving to a different network next season and no one is sure whether TV5 will pick up his show for US viewers but check their listings in September and see if it has returned.

By Far The Best TV Show Ever

I am not exaggerating...that show rocks...i am not here to give you some insights just am gonna spell out the obvious which is actually the truth about tout "Le Monde en Parle"...it is funny, serious, spiritual, lustful, light, heavy,it is every word and its opposite at the same time...and that s so great...because you surf through the 140 min that show consists of...with such a variety of emotions and states...that you cannot but feel fulfilled...one minute you are laughing your guts out...the other you are revolted...screaming at your TV screen...the next you are pondering or listening in admiration...and so forth and so on...it goes for ever...it is a show that changes on during its course and from week to week...while remaining true to itself and its value proposition...sounds contradictory...well that is the show... Ardisson Chapeau Bas...learn French guys...ne-serait ce que pour savourer la bande a Ardisson...Lolo...et les moins habitues...
