    some great laughs

This has to be one of the funniest things I've seen in ages, although I'm not sure whether it was meant to be. The storylines are so hackneyed (Robson the wonderful feeling human being at work who somehow can't stop his marriage from falling apart) and the acting so hilariously OTT you can't help but laugh at Robson & Co's antics. The characters are self-involved, career-obsessed and occasionally tragic to the point of parody, and I've often wondered whether that was the intention. Overall very amusing, especially the moment when Robson throws a tantrum and smashes a colleague's glass door.

Set my TIVO to record ALL shows.

I first saw Ian McShane in Deadwood. We've not missed an episode of this show. He is awesome. He looks dirty, but "I'd do him". (My taste generally run towards the likes of Keanu Reeves, Oscar De La Hoya, etc.) :-) Since then, Ian McShane has become an actor, that I wanted to see more of. Our TIVO, came up with many credits. I chose "TRUST". I've only watched the last 3 episodes. Until today, I did not know that this show was a MINI-SERIES. I am upset. I loved all the characters in this show. WHY is this the end? The theme song alone was awesome. When the theme song would begin, I would let everyone know that I was turning it on LOUD!! I do hope they will bring this back as a series. The show alone has made me a fan. Again, I LOVED THIS SHOW. BRING IT BACK!!

PS...I am a comedy show watcher. I did not watch shows like "Law and Order", etc and anything in this genre, but "TRUST" was a show that I loved and if I missed it, TIVO made sure that I didn't.

Such a shame this wasn't given a second series

This show really did improve as the series progressed and I was engrossed and moved by the last few episodes. Felt like it would have done particularly well in th States. Ahead of its time if you consider shows like Suits coming to fruition a decade later. Anyone know where you can watch this series now?

one of the best dramas I've seen in some time

I have watched all 6 episodes of the series on BBC America. I loved the show, myself. It's so very well shot, the DP did a perfect job showing the corporate offices, the outside meetings within various parts of London, wide shots of the city- seeing all the new stuff being built, getting the quick traffic effects with the fast moving camera- all of this together with the wonderful score, it makes for great television. It's very slick, and I'm sure that's what most people notice right off the top.

The acting is actually very good. Robson Green, who plays the main character, is one of the best actors I have seen in any british series. He's been great in everything I've seen him in, and he has that look of a man with confidence, which lends very well to the character he plays. The other actors do a very nice job as well- all getting their characters down wonderfully. From Annie the obsessed-to-get-ahead in a 'man's' business...pushing her husband further and further away with this obsession, to Greg who plays the laid back gay guy character so well. The show might be worth it just to watch the actress who plays Serene do her scenes...she's drop dead gorgeous, and who couldn't love a woman who makes so many cute faces. All together- the acting is spot on.

The storylines all deal with corporate law- not the most exciting topic in the world, but the writers make it work by adding drama to nearly each deal...and the confidence that these lawyers have when dealing with clients, and how they show their expertise in the field is awe inspiring. There's always some comedy thrown about here and there, but it's not a comedy series, so it's not laugh out loud funny or anything like that. The plotlines are always interesting in that you get to see how they make the deals and how they broker deals with clients who sometimes can't seem to see eye to eye. Some of the stuff in a cpl of the episodes if actually somewhat complex, especially the story about the oil company deal and the drama going on behind the scenes with some of the players. It's all kept together in a nice coherent package tho, and that's a definite plus.

I was sad to see that they only made 6 episodes of this show. I would have caught every episode had it gone on for longer...great characters, great acting, and the stories were just plain fun to watch. Slick, stylish TV- this is what it's all about in my eyes.

Great series - but now disappeared

    This show was great.

I sadly didn't watch it all when it was first on - but it now seems to have disappeared off the face of the planet.

I was hoping the BBC would bring out a DVD, but sadly not.

It had a completely different feel to most other BBC shows - more American in many ways, but in a very classy way.

It was great to see some familiar faces from BBC's Sunday night drama line-up in a completely non-cheesy show.

It was slick and cool and I would love to see it again.

I hope that the BBC do see fit to release it on DVD at some point.
