Referenced in

    • Bens Confiscados (2004)

In one scene in "Garotas do ABC", the factory workers walk past a wall where a poster for "Bens Confiscados", Reichenbach's next film project, can be seen.
    • Falsa Loura (2007)

Based off Reichenbach's script "Lucineide Falsa Loura", a 4-film project about the lives of female factory workers in the state of São Paulo. Unable to shoot all the films as connected stories, Reichenbach summed them up in "Garotas do ABC" (2002), and later filmed "Falsa Loura" with a reworked script, unrelated to the previous film. Silmara, the main character in "Falsa Loura", is a reworked version of the "Lucineide" character featured in "Garotas do ABC".
