Charlotte Flair – real name Ashley Elizabeth Fliehr – is one of the most talked-about professional wrestlers signed to WWE performing on SmackDown. It’s not simply because she is the daughter of professional wrestler Ric Flair, aka Richard Morgan Fliehr — she seems to have earned fame for matters of her own.

As it turns out, the 38-year-old stunning second-generation professional wrestler got into the limelight after an alleged fistfight between her father and her former lover. But while the two were caught up in the brawl, the turn of events further took a turn downhill when Flair ended up being the one shot with a taser.

Life is like a body slam—you never know when it’s coming, but it’s all about how you get back up. Those words might as well be the motto of Charlotte Flair, WWE’s “Queen”, who might dominate the ring, but outside those ropes, she’s been hit with her fair share of emotional chaos—heartbreaks, struggles, and betrayals that no storyline could prepare her for.

Yes, Flair is once again stepping out of the ring—this time from her marriage to Andrade. After tying the knot in 2022, the couple decided to go their separate ways in 2024. Divorce papers have been filed, and like the tough competitor she is, Flair will continue to rise, despite the emotional toll.
Her past relationships weren’t just headlines—they were chapters filled with pain, growth, and ultimate resilience. Before Andrade, there were two other men who...

Lucius have joined forces with The War on Drugs frontman Adam Granduciel for their new song “Old Tape.” They’ve also shared a video for the track, which features comedian, actor, and musician Fred Armisen.
The song arrives as a standalone single ahead of Lucius’ tour opening for The War on Drugs and The National, which kicks off on the East Coast in early September (get tickets here). Built on a quick tempo and some signature yearning guitar from Granduciel, “Old Tape” is a towering, anthemic offering from Lucius. “And once in a while/ you turn up the dial/ to an old tape playing in my head,” Jess Wolfe and Holly Laessig sing in unison, before belting “I’ll tune it out and live instead.”

Working on her third album, Charm, Claire Cottrill had one goal. “This is my third album, and people know me a little bit better, but fuck, they still don’t know,” says Cottrill, 25, who performs as Clairo. “It takes so many records to really understand someone’s choices.“

Queer film fans in Los Angeles are feeling the summer void left by the beloved Outfest, which paused its programming last year amid financial issues and staff layoffs and has yet to resume. But a new film series, called Queer Rhapsody, looks to fill that crater across five venues July 19-28 — and with curation from the UCLA Film and Television Archive and one of Outfest’s former own. Even if they aren’t looking just to replace the 40-year-long legacy of L.A.’s oldest film festival. Plus, Queer Rhapsody is decidedly a series, not a festival.
With a focus on liberating narratives and a program of more than 50 narrative and documentary features and shorts, Queer Rhapsody opens at the Hammer Museum’s Billy Wilder Theater with Drew Denny’s “Second Nature.” Narrated by Elliot Page, the documentary follows trans trailblazer and evolutionary biologist Dr. Joan Roughgarden, who meets with...

After the release of her 2019 debut album Immunity, Claire Cottrill could have capitalized on her music’s virality with another slew of made-for-TikTok bedroom-pop hits in the vein of the LP’s breakout songs, “Bags” and “Sofia.” But on her Laurel Canyon-esque 2021 follow-up Sling, the singer-songwriter opted for a far less commercial route. Amid the pandemic, she retreated to her family’s home in Atlanta where she traded her earlier musings about crushes and awkward growing pains for tales of domesticity and a newfound sense of confidence toward romance. The softer,...

Second Nature couldn’t have found its place in the world at a more opportune time. A balls-out funny-as-hell comedy about a woman who against all the nay-sayers is going to run for Mayor against a womanizing, no morals and for lack of a better word Ass-hole who thinks the job is already sewn up. Seems standard right?? Well no not really throw in a Magic Mirror and some Freaky Friday gender-swapping and you have Second Nature.
Without jumping into spoilers though, the kicker is this… It’s not our main characters who have swapped roles like in most of these movies. It is the world around them!

Clairo has returned to announce her new album, Charm, and shared the record’s first single, “Sexy to Someone.” Stream it below.
Set for release on July 12th, Charm is Clairo’s third album, and will arrive via her new label, Clairo Records. The album was produced by Leon Michels of the Dap-Kings and El Michels Affair, and it sees Clairo advancing on the ornate, jazz-and-folk-inspired work found in Sling. Recorded live to tape with an extensive ensemble of musicians, Clairo was inspired by the ambitious arrangements, songwriting, and recording technqiues of Harry Nilsson and Blossom Dearie.
After hopping on remixes of tracks from Phoenix and Beabadoobee and releasing a pair of singles on Bandcamp benefitting Doctors Without Borders last year, “Sexy to Someone” is Clairo’s first piece of new music since 2021’s Sling. With a driving drum beat, poppier melodies, a flute and saxophone line, and plenty of piano,...

It’s time once more for Wrestlemania the biggest professional wrestling and sports entertainment event for fans and performers that there is. This year the event is held in Orlando, the home of Nxt – where a lot of the current roster of superstars got their start -and as usual (at least on paper) the card doesn’t seem that great. But that’s the thing with the WWE’s biggest pay per view, there’s always surprises: especially when it comes to Wrestlemania moments….
We’ve already covered the kick-off pre-show, so onto the main event, hosted by The New Day, who kick off proceedings with a typical New Day promo – only this time they’re dressed like Final Fantasy characters (gotta get that video game sponsorship money right?) Though you have to give it to Big E for the double-entendre, hacker-centric joke about “pulling levers” then staring at Xavier Woods!

The Destiny’s Child news keeps on coming! Beyoncé and Co.’s first new song in eight years, ‘Nuclear,’ has hit the Internet — listen to it here!
Who knew that January of 2013 would be the month of Destiny’s Child? Just one day after the announcement that the fabulous trio — Beyoncé, Kelly Rowland, and Michelle Williams — were reuniting to release a compilation album entitled Love Songs at the end of the month, the disc’s lone new track, “Nuclear,” made its way online on Jan. 11!
“Nuclear” may not live up to its fiery title, but it is a gorgeous, slow-burning R&B track that is very fitting with Love Songs‘ ballad theme. The new song was produced by Pharrell and was co-written by Michelle, 32, herself! It’s slinky, sexy, and totally bedroom-ready.

New Hudson/Second Nature The Living Room, Cold Spring, NY The Hudson Valley was, to the Hudson River School of painters, a glorious and inspirational place. Today, after a century and a half of industrialization and development, a good bit of what once was is gone and the otherworldly beauty that defined the Hudson Valley has disappeared with it.
The five artists who have been selected for New Hudson/Second Nature by curator Suzanne Ball give you the idea that, despite the changes, the Hudson Valley remains a powerful draw for the more creative among us.
Doug and Mike Starn, two cutting-edge photographers who have owned art star status since the mid-1980s, take the most traditional route here. The directness of their work results in a certain amount of drama, as if the landscape holds many secrets and stories left to be told. Additionally, their familiar use of black and white prints,...

The 8th annual Big Sky Documentary Film Festival is all set to run for ten days this Feb. 11-20 in Missoula, Montana. This year, the fest will have a whopping 140 film programs, a growth that necessitates an expansion from its regular home at the Historic Wilma Theatre — where it will occupy two screens — to also feature screenings at the former Pipestone Mountaineering store.
Special events at the fest include a free opening night screening of How to Die in Oregon sponsored by HBO Documentary Films. The film, directed by Peter D. Richardson, examines the impact the legalization of physician-assisted suicide has had on the state. (In 1994, Oregon was the first state to legalize the practice.)
Also, indie rock band Yo La Tengo will perform their acclaimed live score of the films of pioneering French underwater documentary film director Jean Painlevé, something they have done for other film festivals all over the world.

A letter said to be written by David Mamet to the writers of his canceled CBS show The Unit, surfaced online yesterday, and unlike the average leaked Hollywood memo which is usually some diatribe, this one is actually quite useful – especially to writers, despite some harsh words, a few grammatical errors, and his annoying use of all-caps. But maybe he really wanted to drive home his points

In Part 1 of this series, we noted that our dominant economic system is not only failing to deliver, it is destroying the life-support system of the only planet we've got. With population on track to grow to 9 billion by 2050 and huge increases in consumption and demand from the developing world, a dramatic rethinking is overdue. Higher education must lead this rethinking. It must transform its teaching, research, operations, and service to communities if we are to have a chance at a thriving, peaceful, global society. Baldwin Sued by Ex-Partner
Actor Alec Baldwin's former business partner is suing him, claiming he owes her $125,000 of his earnings from a recent television movie. According to the lawsuit filed on Tuesday in Los Angeles Superior Court, Corrinne Mann and Baldwin formed El Dorado Pictures in 1995. They agreed to develop productions for film and television and split producer fees and profits from any joint projects. But the lawsuit claims the 45-year-old actor never paid Mann half of the $250,000 he or the production company collected in fees from the TV movie Second Nature. Although the film aired on American TV channel TNT in June, Mann had helped develop it before she and Baldwin severed their relationship in 1998, said her attorney Ken Nathanson. Mann, who later formed her own production company, accuses Baldwin of fraud and breach of contract. Her lawsuit seeks unspecified damages.
