Wasn't officially released in the US until 23 years after it was released in Japan.
The last scene (during the end credits) represents the planet Earth, which is a direct reference to the first scene of episode 01 of the TV series, and also of the first film, "Jashin Eris". Combined with Seiji Yokoyama's masterful music, it represents the closing of a cycle, as it is the last film in the classic series (before producing the Hades arc anime).
