Wrong debut for Pooja Bedi.

Vishkanya review :

Pooja Bedi's sensational debut where her skin show was given more prominence than her acting skills; Vishkanya was directed by Jag Mundhra known mostly for his soft porn Hollywood work.

Pooja played the titular role who avenges the death of her (reel and real life) father Kabir Bedi and momma Moon Moon Sen. Kunal Goswami played the cop cum love interest of this poison girl.

Frankly, Pooja was too sophisticated to play a village belle and even her abundant exposure couldnt save Vishkanya from crashing at the box office (It did decent business in interiors though).

Pooja did leave a mark in her later films like Jo Jeeta Wohi Sikandar (1992) and Lootere (1993) but was mostly typecast as the sex bomb in her short career. Im sure even she would like to forget this debut film of hers today.
