Kevin Costner Responds to 'Horizon' Sexual Harassment Lawsuit
Image
Kevin Costner has previously spoken out regarding the sexual harassment lawsuit filed against him by Horizon II stunt performer Devyn Labella through his lawyer, but now the actor and director is getting more pointed in a declaration filed through the L.A. Superior Court that declares her claims to be a "bold-faced lie."

Per Deadline, Costner filed a declaration on Monday in which he explicitly asserts that Labella's claims, which involve her having to endure a rape scene that was unscheduled, unrehearsed, unscripted and extremely violent in the Western sequel, are completely unfounded and a direct attack on him personally. Costner is now moving forward with having a hearing scheduled for Sept.

Kevin Costner Moves to Dismiss Horizon Stunt Lawsuit, Denies Allegations
Kevin Costner in La rumeur court... (2005)
Kevin Costner has asked a Los Angeles judge to throw out a stunt performer’s lawsuit over an alleged unscripted rape scene on Horizon: An American Saga – Chapter 2, calling the claims “a bold-faced lie” in a sworn declaration filed this week. The filing seeks dismissal and relief under California’s anti-slapp statute, arguing that the contested sequence was a scripted lead-in to off-screen violence and did not involve nudity or simulated sex.

The suit, filed in May by lead stunt double Devyn Labella, alleges she was summoned on May 2, 2023 and directed into a “violent” scene without advance notice, consent protocols or an intimacy coordinator, one day after a different rape sequence was filmed with safety oversight. Labella says she was not told the actor she was doubling had refused the second scene and claims a new male performer was instructed to pin her and pull up her skirt during repeated takes.

Kevin Costner Claims Stunt Performer’s Lawsuit an Attempt to ‘Damage My Reputation’
Image
Kevin Costner is seeking to dismiss a lawsuit by a Horizon 2 stunt performer who claimed she performed an alleged unscripted rape scene without being given required notice, asked for her consent to record, or provided a mandatory intimacy coordinator.

In a declaration filed Tuesday in Los Angeles Superior Court and obtained by Rolling Stone, Costner called the accusations made by Devyn Labella “absolutely false” and “deeply disappointing,” while also claiming they were “designed” to “damage my reputation.”

“These allegations are so patently false I can only assume that the...

Kevin Costner Fires Back at ‘Patently False’ Allegation Over ‘Horizon 2’ Rape Scene: ‘An Absolute Nightmare’
Image
Kevin Costner has fired back at a lawsuit from a “Horizon 2” stunt performer who claims that she was forced to perform an unscripted rape scene in violation of union protocols.

In a motion to throw out the lawsuit filed Tuesday, Costner said the allegations are “patently false” and “deeply disappointing” and were designed to damage his reputation.

“I can only assume that purpose was to use this sensationalistic language to embarrass and damage me and the ‘Horizon’ movies on an ongoing basis in order to gain a massive and unjustified payday,” Costner said in a court declaration. “Equally as bad, having to read about and address allegations I know to be false involving the words ‘rape’ and ‘assault’ has been an absolute nightmare.”

Devyn Labella sued Costner in May for sexual harassment and for creating a hostile work environment. She alleged that Costner improvised a scene in which an...

Paul Walter Hauser on ‘Americana’ and Turning Down Kevin Costner and Luca Guadagnino
Image
It’s hard to see a movie this summer and not see Paul Walter Hauser.

The actor is starring in supporting roles in Marvel blockbuster Fantastic Four: First Steps and The Naked Gun reboot, along with a starring role in the finally released Tony Tost film Americana, which went to SXSW in 2023 and was met with relatively positive response before encountering several release delays.

Despite his busy summer on screen, Hauser is quite discerning about the projects he takes on. He reveals he turned down roles in both Kevin Costner’s Horizon and Luca Guadagnino’s Challengers because he knew the roles lacked the depth he’d be looking for when it came time to shooting. “I feel way too competitive and way too hungry to eat garnish and pretend it’s a meal,” the Emmy Award-winning actor tells The Hollywood Reporter on a phone call.

It’s only days...

Kevin Costner Breaks Silence on Sexual Harassment Lawsuit From His Notorious Western Box Office Bomb
Image
Editor's note: the following article contains descriptions of sexual harrassment.Kevin Costner says he’s had enough. The actor is fighting back against a sexual harassment lawsuit filed by stunt performer Devyn Labella, calling her accusations “a bold-faced lie” and claiming the whole thing was designed to destroy his name and derail his passion project, Horizon.

Labella, who worked as a stunt double on Horizon II, filed her lawsuit earlier this year. She says that in May 2023, she was forced into an unscripted, violent rape scene on set — without safety gear, consent, or an intimacy coordinator. In her filing, she accused Costner of directing the scene himself, saying the incident...

Kevin Costner Says ‘Horizon’ Sex Harassment Lawsuit Is Stunt Performer’s Ploy to ‘Damage My Reputation’ in Filing to Dismiss
Image
Kevin Costner is calling “Horizon” stunt performer Devyn Labella’s sexual harassment lawsuit a ploy to damage his reputation in a new filing to dismiss.

In a declaration filed Monday, Costner – who not only starred but also directed and backed his western pet project with his own money – called out Labella’s lawsuit. The stunt performer alleged back in a May filing that she was tasked with performing a violent rape scene without notice or consent and without the intimacy coordinator required by union rules present.

“Devyn’s claims against me are absolutely false, and it is deeply disappointing to

me that a woman who worked on our production would claim that I or any other member of my production team would make one of our own feel uncomfortable, let alone suffer the ‘nightmare’ she has invented,” Costner said. “My belief is that Devyn’s claims were designed, through the...

Kevin Costner Insists ‘Horizon’ Sexual Harassment Allegations Are “Bold-Faced Lie”: Lawsuit “Designed … To Damage My Reputation”
Image
Kevin Costner’s lawyer has already called out the sex harassment lawsuit from Horizon II stunt performer Devyn Labella as a “shakedown,” and now, seeking to get the case dismissed, the Oscar winner himself is apparently going a step further.

In a declaration filed Monday in L.A. Superior Court, Costner insists the May-filed claims of Labella suffering through a rape scene on the yet unreleased Western sequel are a “bold-faced lie.”

In fact, the former Yellowstone star, who put a lot of his own fortune in the Horizon series, says the suit is intended as an attack on him personally.

“My belief is that Devyn’s claims were designed, through the use of false statements and sensationalistic language, to damage my reputation,” Costner says in a dense and photo rich declaration that’s an attachment to a motion to strike of August 18.

PlayStation Fans Debate Jak & Daxter Reboot Possibility
Image
PlayStation fans are passionately debating the return and future of a beloved classic series, with some feeling the series is over, and others feeling like it's time for it to return after being absent for several years. More so, fans are also discussing the hypothetical title's developer, and are hoping that Sony Santa Monica's latest project is for this title and not another God of War game, even though it's been heavily rumored that a new God of War game is in development.

In a Reddit post by Jaccblacc203, the discussion about Jak & Daxter possibly being Sony Santa Monica's next game is heating up. Some fans are hopeful, given director Cory Balrog's history of trolling fans. Others are skeptical and think the next game is likely another GoW game, given how popular the series is and how Balrog and his team re-invented GoW with the 2018 reboot.

Santa Monica Studio are...

Kevin Costner's 78% Rotten Tomatoes Underrated Western Masterpiece Lands on a New Streaming Home
Image
A Western icon if there ever was one, Kevin Costnerhas taken the genre to tremendous new heights, at a time when it was on the endangered list. He continues to put his might behind Westerns, having starred in the landmark series Yellowstone and having directed the Oscar-winning Dances With Wolves. He has invested a large portion of his personal wealth in the epic Horizon: An American Saga franchise. The first installment of the proposed five-film series was released to an underwhelming box office response last year, putting its future in jeopardy. An already-shot second film awaits a release. But Costner could afford to take these risks because of the goodwill that he has built for himself over the years, a goodwill that he first developed with the classic 1985 film Silverado, which is now available to stream for free on Tubi.

Directed by Lawrence Kasdan, the famed writer behind Star Wars: Episode V - The Empire Strikes Back...

Streaming from a VR headset is about to get a lot easier
Image
The Meta Quest line of virtual reality (VR) headsets provides an immersive gaming experience, but streaming gameplay from those devices can be complex. A U.K.-based developer is looking to simplify that process. BeamXR has opened up early access for a Quest app that facilitates Twitch and YouTube streams from VR headsets.

BeamXR Live, as the app is known, is available on Quest 2, Pro, 3, and 3S devices. The streaming platform represents a technological innovation, as it allows broadcasting to Twitch and YouTube without the use of any device other than a VR headset. Though Twitch and YouTube both support Quest hubs, neither of those apps offer native live streaming.

BeamXR stated that its new app was “born out of frustration with existing tools” that support the “critical” enterprise of VR game streaming. The tech company also noted that BeamXR Live “will always have a free access tier for streaming with no usage limits,...

Upload’s return promises dark AI, chinchilla life coaches and a love story for the (digital) ages in the new trailer for the Prime Video series’ final season.

The sci-fi comedy’s four-part finale event was previously teased during San Diego Comic-Con with a look at Aleesha’s (Zainab Johnson) new life as a spy tasked with infiltrating Horizon, the company in charge of running Lakeview. Now, as part of a new two-minute teaser (below), the Prime Video series picks up where season three left off, revealing the fate of Robbie Amell’s two Nathans inside that digital afterlife.

Ghost of Yotei Players Biggest Issue with First Game Fixed With a ‘Press of a button’
Image
Last Updated on Aug 5, 2025 @ 18:31:03 Pm.

Ghost of Yotei is scheduled to release in the next few months, and fans are eager to return to this world with a new protagonist and story. While the original game was a breath of fresh air and had a streamlined mechanic for builds and weaponry, it seems like Sucker Punch Productions will double-dip and make it even better.

As a sequel, it makes sense for the developers to improve in areas where they can. This new feature could save both new and returning players time to swap their loadout with the builds they made that best suit their playstyle.

Where the heck is Horizon: Chapter 2?
Image
One of the biggest gambles of 2024 was, without a doubt, Kevin Costner’s Horizon: An American Saga. This is Costner’s passion project, with him having worked on the script since 1988. He even named his youngest son Hayes after the character he was gearing up to play in the films. But, westerns have never been the easiest movies to get financed. While Costner’s Dances With Wolves made hundreds of millions and won Costner a couple of Oscars, his follow-up western, Wyatt Earp, was an expensive misfire. However, Open Range made money, given that it was a relatively thrifty production. While 1997’s The Postman deeply impacted Costner’s career for many years, the mammoth success of Yellowstone put him back on top. Still eager to get the saga made, which would eventually grow to five chapters, he bet on himself and largely financed the first two Horizon movies himself.

Indeed,...

Kevin Costner’s ‘Horizon’ Settles Breach of Contract Lawsuit Over $350,000 in Unpaid Costume Fees
Image
Kevin Costner’s self-funded Western “Horizon” has reached a settlement for the United Costume Corporation’s breach of contract lawsuit over alleged unpaid fees of nearly $350,000. Details of the settlement are not available, but the production company filed a request for dismissal on Thursday, as obtained and reviewed by TheWrap.

Costner’s loan-out firm Horizon Series was sued in May for the alleged breach of contract for costuming fees across “Horizon: An American Saga — Chapter 1” and its yet-to-be-released sequel.

The suit included an invoice for “Chapter 1” costumes coming to $58,000. A second to the tune of $285,000 came through for rentals the next year, with United Costume signing a deal with production to provide costume for “Horizon: An American Saga – Chapter 2” as well.

Kevin Costner’s ‘Horizon’ Settles Lawsuit Over Unpaid Costume Fees Amid Financial, Legal Woes
Image
Kevin Costner’s production vehicle for Horizon has settled a lawsuit accusing it of failing to pay for costume rentals.

United Costume Corporation on Thursday informed the court of a deal to resolve the case. Terms of the agreement weren’t disclosed.

Amid mounting financial and legal woes, Horizon Series, Costner’s loan-out firm, was sued in May for breach of contract for roughly $350,000 over unpaid fees across Horizon: An American Saga — Chapter 1 and its sequel. The lawsuit bolstered the appearance of budget shortfalls for the sprawling productions. Before that, New Line Cinema filed an arbitration claim against the company for alleged breaches to a co-financing agreement, followed by a stunt performer suing for sexual discrimination, harassment and retaliation over an unscripted rape scene.

United Costume’s lawsuit pointed to an invoice in 2022 for roughly $58,000 in costume rentals for Chapter 1. A year later, the production struck another deal, this time...

Sony Interactive Entertainment Takes Legal Action Against Tencent for Ripping Off One of Its Recognizable IPs
Image
Last Updated on Jul 31, 2025 @ 17:45:31 Pm.

Sony Interactive Entertainment has asserted dominance across the video game industry in the past few decades with high-quality exclusive titles and innovative gaming hardware. The company developed a strong relationship and following with the gaming community by releasing titles that can’t be played elsewhere, until they aren’t up for a PC port at least.

However, these titles inspired other developers to take more than notes by ripping off near identical copies of world design and character design. As a major gaming publisher, Sony didn’t take this act lightly and has pursued legal action to protect its intellectual property. The mere fact that other studios were bold enough to take recognizable themes from a Sony IP speaks volumes about its influence on the modern audience.

All Eyes Are on Sony As the Company Sues Tencent The pursuit of legal action is only the beginning.

Xbox Is Outshining Playstation on Its Own Platform and Here’s the Proof
Image
The bitter-sweet rivalry between Xbox and PlayStation has always been a topic of debate in the gaming community. Their fans leave no opportunity to scrap each other down whenever the competition seems tough. While PlayStation has dominated the gaming industry for years, 2025 was a curveball that no one saw coming. Microsoft has finally beaten Sony one-sidedly, and no, it’s not a rumor. We have the proofs for that.

According to a post from @igndotcom on Instagram, many of the best-selling games on PS5 in the last quarter were once an Xbox-exclusive. This is a major victory for Xbox, as they were outshone several times by PlayStation, courtesy of their exclusive games. But now, Xbox first-party titles have breached that exclusivity wall by releasing their games on Sony’s console and even outselling most of the rival games.

Xbox Games Dominate PlayStation’s Digital Storefront

Is Light of Motiram Canceled Following Sony’s Lawsuit?
Image
Well, we all knew this was coming, right? On July 25, 2025, Sony Interactive Entertainment filed a lawsuit in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California against Tencent, the publisher of the upcoming game Light of Motiram.

Alleging copyright and trademark infringement, Sony argues the title is a “slavish clone” of its highly acclaimed Horizon franchise and wants to block its release. First off, this feels so similar to what happened between Nintendo and PocketPair, but way worse.

The lawsuit reveals a lot of new details that we didn’t know yet, like the revelation that Tencent actually wanted to work with Sony on this game. But what does this mean for the Tencent title? Will Light of Motiram still come out? Or is it canceled?

Sony’s Lawsuit Is Aiming to Make Sure That Tencent’s Light of Motiram Never Comes Out

The fractured legacy between Japan and China aside, Sony Interactive Entertainment is suing Tencent for copyright infringement, some big bucks and to put a halt to the release of the Middle Kingdom company’s “slavish clone” Light of Motiram video game.

“Tencent’s unlawful copying of the protected audiovisual elements of the Horizon games, as well as its deliberate adoption of a confusingly similar character mark, constitutes both copyright and trademark infringement that should be enjoined immediately to prevent irreparable harm to Sie and the consuming public,” the Playstation media giant states in a July 25 action filed in federal court against the Shenzhen-based tech conglomerate.

Max Martini & Brianna Hildebrand To Star In Thriller ‘Bethesda’
Image
Exclusive: Max Martini (Pacific Rim) and Brianna Hildebrand (Deadpool & Wolverine) are starring in the thriller Bethesda, the directorial debut from Andrew and Isaac Lewis, also known as The Lewis Brothers. The film has completed production.

Bethesda is described as a neo-Western thriller set in desolate West Texas in the early ’90s. The story centers on a dying ex-Texas Ranger with a violent past, and the young woman he rescues from a life of drugs and forced prostitution. After killing the brother of a border-town crime lord, the two broken strangers go into hiding from the pseudo-philosophical assassin hired to kill them. While on the run, they find redemption within each other in this dark and violent land where the line between good and evil is blurred, where the only rule is that of survival. The screenplay was written by Matt Black.

Also starring are James Landry Hebert, Julio Cedar Cedillo, Veronica Falcón and Marlene Forte.

Executive producer is Paul Reichelt of Appalachian Film. Bethesda is produced by William Kaufman alongside Andrew and Isaac Lewis for Denton Film, Jon Wroblewski and Christian Sosa for Roosevelt Film Lab, Adrian Testolin, and Grant Wakefield. This is the third collaboration between Roosevelt Film and Denton Film.

“As filmmakers, we have always wanted to tell a story that explores what West Texas really looked like, specifically in the early 1990s,” the Lewis Brothers said in a statement. “We took inspiration from films such as the Coen Brothers’ Blood Simple and No Country for Old Men.”

Added Reichelt: “Collaborating with this exceptional cast and crew has been a true creative high point,” and “We’re excited to reunite for Bethesda, which marks an impressive debut from Andrew and Isaac Lewis. Their bold vision and distinct voice are already making waves on the indie film circuit. We’re looking forward to a strong and successful festival run.”...

Stream This Underseen 30 Year Old Kevin Costner and Gene Hackman Western Classic Next Month

There’s just something about a Western that proved to be like a magnet during the careers of Kevin Costner and the late Gene Hackman. Both men appeared in numerous gunslinging projects, with the former continuing to chase his dream of the biggest genre epic of all time with his Horizon saga. But, more than 30 years ago, the pair’s paths crossed when they joined the call sheet for Lawrence Kasdan’s (Dreamcatcher) period classic, Wyatt Earp. Although the movie may not have been as popular as other similar titles that the two leading men starred in, it’s still certainly worth a watch all these decades later. And soon, Netflix fans will have the chance to do exactly that, as Wyatt Earp rides onto the streamer on August 1.

As the title would suggest, Wyatt Earp followed the life of the titular lawman, tracing the timeline back to his younger...

Kevin Costner’s Forgotten Pre-'Yellowstone' Sports Drama Is Leaving Netflix Soon
Image
Kevin Costner will always be known for playing John Dutton in Yellowstone, but nearly 20 years before he ever suited up in Taylor Sheridan’s hit Western series, he starred in a sports drama that just got a disappointing streaming update. Costner stars alongside John C. Reilly (Step Brothers) and Brian Cox (Succession) in For Love of the Game, the 1999 baseball movie following Detroit Tigers pitcher Billy Chapel (Costner), who has to decide how much he’s willing to risk for the sport he loves. For Love of the Game is currently streaming on Netflix, but the streamer has announced that the last day to watch the film will be on July 31. It earned scores of 47% from critics and 75% from audiences on Rotten Tomatoes, and it grossed only $46 million at the box office against an $80 million budget, making it a major flop.

Veteran director Sam Raimi stepped behind the camera to...

“Abandon All Hope” and Read Our Preview Pages from Event Horizon: Dark Descent #1
Image
Having loved Event Horizon since I saw it opening night in 1997 and having just read the entire first issue of the comic book mini-series, I can confidently say that the creative team of Christian Ward, Tristan Jones, Pip Martin, and Alex Ray have crafted something really special. This return to the world of Event Horizon has what we've come to love from the original film, while giving us all-new, terrifying cosmic horrors in the first issue, and this is only the beginning. I can't wait to see what's in store for the first crew of the Event Horizon, and I'm especially intrigued by the introduction of the eyeless Paimon.

"Miniseries premiere! An all-new cosmic horror story set in the universe of the terrifying cult-classic film!

The Event Horizon was a revolutionary spaceship designed for one mission: faster-than-light travel with a top secret and experimental gravity drive. But upon activating the device,...

Why Helldivers 2 Is the Odd One Out When It Comes to Sony Exclusives on the Xbox
Image
Sony has built its reputation on exclusivity, offering unparalleled gaming experiences that can only be found on PlayStation consoles. But the tides are shifting. The company has now ventured into unfamiliar territory by breaking its mold and releasing Helldivers 2 on Xbox.

While this is a very big decision, the question remains: Why? The answer is very simple (painful for the company): It is a live service game. Sony seems desperate to ensure Helldivers 2 is a lasting success.

To do so, it has broken its exclusivity model, knowing that longevity for a live-service game requires a broader player base.

The Life-or-Death Reality of Live-Service Games Hitting Sony Pretty Hard

Helldivers 2 isn’t just another run-of-the-mill third-person shooter; it’s a live-service game, a successful one at that. While the genre seems pretty easy to capitalise on, it’s harder than it looks. As it’s a genre where longevity depends on constant player interaction,...

Kevin Costner's Infamous $264 Million Box Office Disappointment Is Now Streaming On Peacock
Image
Kevin Costner had full artistic freedom for a time in the ‘90s, and he used it to make the infamous $264 million box office disappointment currently streaming on Peacock. Dances With Wolves and its $424 million gross earned the film’s Oscar-winning star and director the coveted Hollywood blank check.

Having further proven his audience appeal with the 1992 blockbuster The Bodyguard, Costner cashed in his equity by embarking on an action-adventure project of epic scale, budgeted at up to $175 million. The film arrived in 1995, but buzz around the movie was already negative, due to reports of a ballooning budget, and behind-the-scenes drama.

Kevin Costner’s Waterworld Is Now Streaming On Peacock It Arrived July 1

Critical pans also contributed to the bad buzz around Waterworld, the $264 million box office disappointment now streaming on Peacock. Universal reportedly spent upwards of $235 million on the movie, once marketing and distribution costs were factored in, and it...

Yellowstone Fumbled Its Final Season — And John Dutton’s Exit Deserves the Blame
Image
Yellowstone is one of the biggest TV success stories of the past decade.

It’s rare for a show to grow exponentially as it ages, let alone on cable, where the odds are stacked even higher. But Yellowstone defied the ratings decline, becoming a cultural juggernaut by taking risks other series shied away from.

It was bold. It was unexpected. It kept people talking.

(Paramount Network/Screenshot)

But the cracks began to show in Yellowstone Season 5, especially after one of the show’s most controversial choices: killing off John Dutton.

Yellowstone Had Many Opportunities to End John’s Arc Well

The move didn’t come out of nowhere. Rumors of tension between Kevin Costner and Yellowstone overlord Taylor Sheridan had swirled for months. Still, it was shocking to see the Dutton family patriarch die off-screen — a limp exit for a character who defined the show.

Val Kilmer’s Best Role Predicted Kevin Costner’s Yellowstone Feud With Taylor Sheridan 32 Years Back
Image
Kevin Costner’s departure from Yellowstone was no mere hiccup in a TV series; it was probably the chapter written long before the cameras rolled on the Dutton ranch. Believe it or not, if you think this is just a casual creative disagreement, you’re missing the forest for the trees.

Over thirty years ago, Val Kilmer’s greatest role in Tombstone dropped a subtle hint about the clashes Costner would later have with Yellowstone creator Taylor Sheridan. Costner’s creative grip has long been infamous, arguably best captured by a co-star’s brutal description of his 1994 Western Wyatt Earp: “a giant close-up of Kevin for three f**king hours” (via Cbr).

His exit after five Yellowstone seasons also wasn’t just about scheduling conflicts with his ambitious Horizon project; it was reportedly about a tug-of-war over storytelling control and artistic vision. The result? A messy divorce between Sheridan & Costner that left viewers disappointed.

Star Trek (1966)
Why “A Piece of the Action” is Star Trek at its early best
Star Trek (1966)
The first season of Star Trek has its share of beloved episodes. From the much-lauded “City on the Edge of Forever” (S01E28) to “Space Seed” (S01E22), which gave the series one of its most iconic villains, there is plenty to appreciate. While the series had yet to hit its stride fully, Season 1 has a hidden gem that is usually overlooked: “A Piece of the Action” (S01E17).

In this episode, the Enterprise visits Sigma Iotia II, a planet last visited by the Starfleet vessel the Horizon, which vanished or was destroyed after its departure. The crew left books behind, including those about mobster culture in 1920s America. By the time Starfleet receives radio signals from the doomed ship, more than 100 years have passed. Kirk and his crew discover that the entire planet has adopted this book as a cultural guideline, and now several gangsters have claimed territories and are constantly battling each other.

SiriusXM Goes All In on K-Pop Programming
Image
As K-Pop’s popularity has exploded over the last decade, companies like SiriusXM have carved out room for the music space and its artists.

“I think that K-Pop itself just made a lot of sense,” Michael Tam, SiriusXM K-Pop host and programmer tells The Hollywood Reporter. Tam, who also programs Pandora’s K-Pop offerings, began his career at Sirius in finance but he’s been a fan of the music space for many years. “I was a big fan of Taeyang’s ‘Wedding Dress.’ That was the anthem,” he says.

The host said he was vocal from the beginning about representation, including via K-Pop, on SiriusXM. Prior to the current station, SiriusXM had a channel called 88Rising Radio, a collaboration between management company and label 88Rising. Tam says that was the entry point for Asian music at SiriusXM.

“We had a lot of takeovers from K-Pop artists. Back in the day,...

‘Horizon’ Intimacy Coordinator Says “Protocols Were Abandoned” Over Scene With Stunt Woman That Led To Sexual Harassment Suit
Image
The intimacy coordinator who worked on the set of Kevin Costner’s Horizon called the scene at the heart of a stunt woman’s lawsuit against producers and Costner an “unscheduled, unplanned violent rape scene” that “was unexpectedly sprung on the actors and stunt professionals.”

The claims were made by Celeste Chaney, whose inquiry into the incident during the rehearsal of a scene on the set of Horizon: An American Saga – Chapter 2 in May 2023 was attached as an exhibit to stunt woman Devyn Labella’s amended complaint filed last week in Los Angeles Superior Court. That’s where she filed her original suit earlier this year alleging she was subject to sexual harassment and while standing in for star Ella Hunt during on the second of Costner’s planned four-movie Western epic.

Chaney detailed in her two-page inquiry report that the scene rehearsal was to include Hunt, who “was...

‘Horizon 2’ Stunt Actress Amends Rape Scene Lawsuit With New Evidence, ‘Scathing’ Intimacy Coordinator Report
Image
“Horizon: An American Saga – Chapter 2” stunt actress Devyn Labella amended her sexual discrimination and harassment lawsuit against director-star Kevin Costner and his production company to add new evidence, including text messages she sent to an intimacy coordinator, regarding an allegedly unscripted rape scene she was asked to work on.

“What happened to me on that set was a reckless violation — a breach of consent and of basic workplace safety,” Labella said Wednesday in a statement to TheWrap. “I was told to lie down, and without warning or rehearsal, another actor was brought in to simulate a rape on top of me. My undergarments were exposed. I was left alone afterward, overwhelmed and in shock.

“Compliance under pressure is not consent,” she continued. “Consent cannot be given after the harm has already begun. Once the line is crossed, there is no real choice left to make. I spoke up immediately.

Kevin Costner's 'Horizon' Sequel Finally Recieves a Positive Update After Months of Delays
Image
It's been a rough ride for Kevin Costner's Horizon: An American Saga franchise. Chapter 1 opened in theaters last June to mixed reviews and a poor box office turnout, resulting in Chapter 2 being pulled from its August 2024 release slot. But the film's success on streaming reignited hopes for Chapter 2 to receive a theatrical release. While the state of Kevin Costner's Western sequel remains in limbo, the actor/writer/director has already turned his attention to filming the third entry in the four-part saga. Fans have yet to get their hands on Horizon - Chapter 2, as only a few lucky critics at select film festivals have seen the movie. But, Costner is clearly optimistic about making all four movies, as star Danny Huston just gave fans a much-needed, and long-overdue, positive update about the future of Horizon.

Danny Huston recently spoke to Screen Rant to promote the digital release of his movie,...

Horizon: An American Saga Finally Gets a Positive Status Update From Kevin Costner's Co-Star
Image
As Horizon: An American Saga remains in the proverbial barn waiting to come out following Chapter 1's release, one of the film's stars rounds up some good news regarding its future. Star Danny Huston offers an encouraging progress report on one of the upcoming sequels in Kevin Costner's four-part affair.

Speaking with Screen Rant, Huston revealed that "a lot" of Chapter 3 has been filmed, despite production on the third installment in the Horizon series stalling temporarily due to financial issues. According to the Golden Globe-nominated actor, Chapter 3 is coming together well as he praised Costner for his creative vision for the extensive feature-length project.

"I think he's got a lot of Chapter 3 in the can, actually. But there's no stopping him. He's just unbelievable, and this dream of his is coming to life in a spectacular way. It's just extraordinary what he does," Huston said.

Huston's comments are the...

‘Horizon’ Star, 63, is Confident Kevin Costner’s Western Will Overcome Challenges: “There’s No Stopping It”
Image
Kevin Costner may have bid the Dutton ranch goodbye after the final season of Yellowstone concluded last year, but the Taylor Sheridan veteran isn’t ready to say goodbye to Westerns anytime soon. Costner even left Yellowstone to work on Horizon: An American Saga, which he has hailed as the biggest passion project of his career. Chapter 1 of the sweeping Western epic debuted last year to middling reviews and poor box office returns, which led to its already-filmed sequel being completely pulled from the release schedule. Nearly a full year later, it’s still unclear as to when it’s going to be released. Speaking to ScreenRant to promote Consecration, Horizon star Danny Huston expressed a positive outlook on the future of the Horizon franchise, despite the recent turmoil:

"I am absolutely bated breath anticipating. I can't wait to see the second chapter. It's such a big document, an epic dream of a film.

'Horizon: An American Saga - Chapter 2's Release Gets A Cryptic Update From Star Danny Huston
Image
Horizon: An American Saga - Chapter 2's chances of getting a theatrical release are as tumultuous as living in the Wild West itself. Kevin Costner's self-funded passion project western hasn't quite revitalized the genre in the way the writer/director/actor probably hoped it would. Horizon - Chapter 1 was released last year to middling reviews from critics, although it found a strong and dedicated fan base after releasing on streaming. Horizon - Chapter 2 has already been shot and edited, and all that needs to happen is for New Line Cinema to pull the trigger on the sequel's release. Like the rest of the fan base, Horizon star Danny Hustonis equally eager to see the movie on the big screen, but even he doesn't know if and when it will happen.

Danny Huston recently spoke to Screen Rant to promote the digital release of Consecration, and the actor was...

"It's Working At Its Own Pace": Horizon Chapter 2's Cast Are Still In The Dark On The Release For Kevin Costner's Western Sequel
Image
Horizon: An American Saga - Chapter 2 actor Danny Huston offers an ambiguous update on Kevin Costner's upcoming sequel. Filmed back-to-back with Chapter 1, the second installment in Kevin Costner's epic western movie series was initially scheduled for release on August 16, 2024, but was pulled from the release calendar. Despite being indefinitely delayed, the film premiered at the Venice International Film Festival and was screened at the Santa Barbara International Film Festival in February. A release date is not yet attached to the movie.

In an interview with ScreenRant's Grant Hermanns for Consecration's digital release, Huston, who plays Col. Albert Houghton in Horizon, talks about Chapter 2's delay. The star admits that he "can't wait" for the sequel to be released, calling Costner's passion project "an epic dream of a film." While he believes that the film will be released eventually, he doesn't have an exact timeframe. Check out his comments below:

This Prime Video TV Show Proves That Even Sony Didn’t Expect Helldivers 2 to Be So Popular
Image
When you think of franchises within Sony, a few big names come to mind: God of War, Horizon, and the usual heavy hitters. But when Sony decided to give Concord a dedicated episode in Secret Level, it really showed where the company’s head was at.

And if there’s one word to describe that place, it’s got to be rotten. While Concord got the spotlight, Helldivers 2 (their actual live-service success) barely earned a cameo. It’s almost as if the company had the winning lottery ticket and didn’t even check the numbers.

Blinded by the chase: Sony’s desperate search for a live service hit

It’s no secret that Sony’s been chasing the Fortnite dream. Its goal? A live-service juggernaut that could keep people hooked for years. But in their blind pursuit of that elusive success, they completely missed Helldivers 2, a game that turned out...
