When it first began, the Marvel Cinematic Universe was known for starring underrated or underperforming Hollywood actors. Before that, they were relative unknowns. Other actors, including Robert Downey Jr., used their roles to launch themselves back into the spotlight after facing declining respect from the industry. Fall is upon us, and so is Hulu’s list of every title coming and going from the streaming service in November.

Among the list of arriving titles is a new episode of Hulu’s original monthly anthology series, “Into the Dark.” November’s episode is called “Pilgrim,” and claims to be inspired by true events — in which a woman invites a bunch of Pilgrim re-enactors over for Thanksgiving dinner. But things get spooky when the “actors” refuse to break character.

Other new arrivals include Season 5 of “You’re the Worst,” described as a modern look at love, the complete first seasons of “Dollface,” about a young woman re-entering the world of women, “The Accident,” which begins with a deadly explosion at a construction site, and “Love Island: Australia,” an answer to the U.K. and U.S. versions of the beloved reality dating show.

On ABC's Wednesday sitcom "Suburgatory," which launched a new season in January, Jeremy Sisto plays George Altman, an architect and single father of a teen daughter (Jane Levy) who moves to the suburbs to give her a better life. He discovers life there is different, but whether it's better is a work in progress.

In real life, Sisto is a 39-year-old father of two: daughter Charlie and baby son Bastian. He got married to wife Addie a few months after his daughter was born, but Sisto has no regrets about taking the plunge.

"I love my family," he tells Zap2it. "I have a great wife. It took me a while to figure that out and commit, but now I'm really happy I did. She's a human being, and we're committed to each other. It's a nice thing. The kids are just amazing. It's a different level."

Ian Somerhalder and Luke Hemsworth topline the cast of The Anomaly, a highly original action thriller exploring the issue of global terriorism. Noel Clarke's UK production company Unstoppable Entertainment announced that principal photography commenced on new sci-fi thriller last week.

The Anomaly's original screenplay was written by Simon Lewis and will be directed by Noel Clarke (4.3.2.1., Adulthood). Lewis' screenplay follows the travails of a traumatized ex-soldier who wakes up in the back of a van, alongside a kidnapped boy, to find that he only has only nine minutes and 37 seconds of consciousness to work out why and how he got there. The film is produced by James Harris and Mark Lane of The Tea Shop & Film Company (Cockneys Vs. Zombies, Tower Block). The film will be shooting on location across London. COLOGNE, Germany -- Splendid Medien, one of the last surviving members of the German Neuer Markt nouveau-riche club, is in final negotiations to sell off Splendid Pictures, the Bel-Air, Calif.-based production outfit it founded last year when Splendid absorbed David Glasser's Cutting Edge Entertainment. Splendid spokesman Gert Fisahn, speaking at the company's headquarters in Cologne, confirmed that the German group is close to a deal to sell off the feature film outfit behind Agent Cody Banks, Narc and the upcoming U-Boat to an unnamed private investor. The deal, which is expected to close within the next two weeks, is part of a move that will see Splendid Medien withdraw from film production to focus solely on licensing film rights in its core German-language market. In an unusual move, a clause in the deal will see Splendid Medien retain an option to buy back a stake in Splendid Pictures at a later date.

Derek Luke and William H. Macy will star in Franchise Pictures' political thriller Spartan for writer-director David Mamet and producer Art Linson. Production is scheduled to begin April 15 in Los Angeles. Spartan follows Scott (Val Kilmer), who is asked to investigate the kidnapping of the president's daughter. Luke will star as Anton, a would-be Secret Service agent, while Macy plays Stoddard, the right-hand man to Burch, the man who is leading the investigation of the kidnapped girl. The Burch character has yet to be cast. Luke, repped by CAA, stars onscreen in Antwone Fisher and Biker Boyz. He next stars in United Artists' Pieces of April. Macy, repped by Writers & Artists, next stars in Lions Gate Films' The Cooler, Artisan Entertainment's U-Boat, Universal Pictures/Spyglass Entertainment's Seabiscuit and Showtime Networks' Out of Order. Spartan reunites Macy with Mamet as the duo have collaborated on projects for more than 15 years, including the features State and Main, Oleanna, Homicide, Things Change and House of Games.

Splendid Pictures has struck a two-picture deal with Artisan Entertainment that sees the indie distributor take North American rights to the Splendid productions U-Boat and Heaven's Pond. U-Boat, which started production this week in Los Angeles, stars William H. Macy, Lauren Holly, Scott Caan, Jeremy Sisto, Til Schweiger and Thomas Kretschmann in the story of a group of American POWs brought aboard a submarine and put to the test when they're forced to join their German captors. Tony Giglio is helming from a script he co-wrote with John E. Deaver.
