This is one of those movies that is so bad it can be entertaining. You need to be in the mood but if you like to see terrible acting, bad makeup, and uncomfortable sex scenes, you will enjoy this film. The lead vampire is ridiculous. His makeup and hair, along with his forced version of a dark and sultry voice, was hilarious. He looked like he was wearing bondage gear he bought off Wish. The dialogue was hilarious with the actors delivering lines like they were reading a pharmaceutical insert. AND those sex scenes....... everyone appeared bored and sloppy like androids trying to be seductive but having no idea what they were doing. I'm giving this film a 5 because if I wanted super bad full of laughs, I'd say a 10. If I was looking for a vampire flick that was not a total waste of time, I'll give it a 1.

The one thing that stands out in this horror film is the performance of Kristen Lueck as "Amanda" - although she is restrained by the limits of the film's subject matter and script, the viewer has no doubt that she is talented and destined for bigger and better roles.

I can't help but wonder if the other people who gave good reviews for the film, were part of the crew. Don't be fooled readers, this film was terrible. A mate and I watched it last night. Being fans of vampire films, we've seen a lot. Don't get me wrong. I've seen dozens of low budget vampire films that I think run rings around huge budget vampire films. A films budget shouldn't hinder a good movie as long as the actors are good and the story line is sound.

If you want to make an original vampire film, don't get out a successful vampire flick and copy it. Just hire this piece of trash and see all the things you shouldn't do. The vampire makeup made us laugh every time the lead vampire Victor came on the screen. He wore a black T-shirt with what could only be a sex bondage harness over the top. His makeup was white paint on his face and red lips. It finished under his chin and went up his jaw line. His neck,arms and hands left a natural tanned colour making this him look like a gay mime instead of a threatening vampire.

The story was 3 vampires, Victor and his two brides have lived together for years. The two females bring losers home from bars and basically feed upon them in their home. 3 bandits rob a gas station and the robbery goes wrong so they take a hostage. One of the bandits gets shot in the knee with a shot gun, limps around a bit, but manages to walk it off later in the film {Reader: please roll eyes now} Anyway the bandit's car breaks down and they have to find a place close by. They find a house which happens to be the home of the 3 vampires...... A truly awful film. Opening credits {sex scene} Losers at a bar gets picked up by one of the vampire chicks and go back to her place. They 2 female vampire comes along and the loser from the bar thinks he's gone to heaven. {Sex scene} Victor comes long and he drinks from the losers heart and get it on with one of the females vampires{sex scene} You can see where this film is going. I think we counted 9 sex scenes all up and each one seemed to drag on for ages. The film went for 90 minutes, so it that really didn't leave much time for any quality story or acting. At lest it made me laugh, but for all the wrong reasons..

Trying to live their lives, female vampires living with their oppressive master make their living by taking any random passersby they can find, but when a group of thugs escaping a robbery stay at their house finds themselves under personal animosity that threatens their existence.

This was a rather fun indie vampire effort. One of the better elements here is the fine setup that works rather well in this type of indie feature to generate a decent enough premise. Setting up a means of the group of vampires as the kind of sultry, seductive types who use their sensuality and sexuality to ensnare their victims while also letting their general bloodthirst and hunger come to pass, there's a fun touch to the group with their presentation that becomes far more enhanced once they get the other victims into the house following their botched robbery. The series of innuendo-filled mind games that are played with everyone who are distrustful of the hosts while not knowing why and the fury this instills in the group who are tired of playing games with them, giving the film quite a fun starting point to everything. As well, the scenes of this one going through the motions of trying to showcase the ravenous side of the creatures in fine form. As the opening attack on the hitchhiking driver they pick up demonstrates, the idea of them overwhelming their victim with fiery sexuality before letting their dark side protrude into a flurry of ravenous bloodletting as they drain their victim is a generally fine tactic repeated numerous times throughout here as they are finally allowed to let their true nature come to the forefront. As this is carried out in solid seduction scenes where they overcome the group and wipe them out in short order after being allowed to do so, this mix of erotic allure and graphic carnage makes for a solid mix with it being so obvious what's going on no one noticing is a great way to build everything up. Graced with fine effects work on this type of budget for what's going on, the film has a lot going for it. There are a few issues here that spring up. The main detriment of the film is the lore of the vampires in the movie which doesn't make any sense and seems to contradict traditional settings for the creatures. While it keeps staking in the chest and sunlight as a means to deal with them, that they openly have flaming candles around the house to burn themselves on is a move that no genuine vampire should allow as they're far more accustomed to the dark anyway. On top of that, the idea of turning victims into vampires through this complicated ritual with the one who bit them completing the turn is just needless and overlong, especially when it brings about a plot hole about how the main vampire is finally stopped as it makes no sense. On the whole, these elements run throughout the film and are pretty hard to overcome, especially alongside the low-budget origins that are equally obvious to notice while also managing to bring about some more issues that aren't truly detrimental but hold it down overall.

Just watched "Lord of the Vampires" & agree with previous excited reviews. I'm no expert on technical aspects, but whatever they did it came together great! VERY atmospheric & well cast. From the moment Viktor appeared, I was hooked--absolutely riveted by Jack Wareing as the vampire lord. It's been called cheesy, (and it is,but in the coolest way) but there are some real keepers coming out of this. A mixture of classic B-horror & sick drawing room innuendo.Definitely check it out.

If nothing else for the fact They use ABNEY Park's Music!! If you haven't heard of them check them out, They have a musky, hot, sexy sound that is a little Goth, a little punk , but definitely different. Old world sound meets modern instruments. They have a MY Space page as well as a website.

It's a good old fashioned CRUNCHY Vampire movie! Seriously, This is one of those movies you kind of HAVE to see..Like a right of passage. Breakfast club, Sixteen candles, Lord of the Vampires. Ya know? Definitely a good one, Check it out. It's Sexy, really really sexy. It as the element of testosterone, high action, writhing vampires.

I feel like the oddly glowing reviews for this movie were definitely written by cast, crew, or members of the band that was featured in this movie. Make no mistake, this is one of the worst movies ever made. In that aspect, it's incredible. If you're a fan of D or even F class horror movies that also moonlight as soft core porn, this is one of the many treats that can be found on Amazon Prime. It's shot on what I can only assume was a mini DV handicam and the audio is so garbled and wrecked that all you can hear is the very silly music. Again, I loved it.

I wasn't expecting much from this when I ran across a friend's DVD of LORD OF THE VAMPIRES...(but hey I'm a sucker for most all vampire flix)....But this has got to be the craziest mix of criminals,vampires sex,blood,and some excellent gore!!....The girls in this movie are petty hot and can surprisingly all manage to give good performances.I really liked the atmosphere on alot of the interior shots..it looks like it was shot on at least 16mm....and the guy who plays the VAMPIRE LORD rocks!(he doesn't work,sits in a throne,and has all the sex he wants..and still complains..lol)Seriously though if you get a chance to see this do it...I think Sub Rosa is putting it out....I give it 9 out 10 stars
