The series attracted controversy in its native England in 2002, when Police intervened in the crew's attempt to film the funeral procession for the Queen Mother with a radar gun for a bet on how slow the procession would go along. In addition, the version of the show on America's Fox Network was pulled after only six episodes after complaints from Asian Rights groups.
The show won the Best Light Entertainment Program award at the UK's 2002 Indie Awards ceremony.
Show exported to America (Shown on Fox) and to Japan.
US Versions heavily edited some episodes, and changed the names of actors (supposed contestants) to sound more American.
