Swaroop Sampat's first ever shot was the train song with Randhir Kapoor. She was very nervous. She asked Yashraj Films for her scene in advance and they gave her a cassette tape of her song. She got even more nervous as she didn't know how to dance. It was Randhir Kapoor who put her at ease when they shot the song. He told her she was as good as any actress in the industry. Its just that they did more films than her. Yash Chopra had signed Swaroop right after her Miss India contest for Nakhuda and Sawaal. But Sawaal got slightly delayed with its release.

Yash Chopra had produced 3 films toghether at one time, Silsila, Nakhuda & Sawaal.

Its said that Amitabh Bachchan was in the cast in the lead role of Sawaal . The title was "Aakhree Sawaal". The role then Shashi Kapoor did. At that time Amitabh Bachchan was working in only one film for the same banner, that was his policy at that time and in those days he was completing Kala Pathar and was starting Silsila for the same banner, so that is the reason he couldn't work in Sawaal.
