First Info on Upcoming Thriller The Haunting of Whaley House
Good haunted house movies get under our skin like nothing else. Why is that? Because we all know we could be innocently sitting at home and suddenly out of the blue comes that whisper from the darkness ..."Get out!" ... Yikes!

For future reference, the proper thing to do in that situation is to get the fuck out. Hopefully the folks in the upcoming spooker The Haunting of Whaley House heed this advice.

Produced by The Asylum, The Haunting of Whaley House begins filming on March 4th for an anticipated late 2012 release. Get daily updates on the production and stay connected through The Haunting of Whaley House official Facebook fan page.

From the Press Release

Just because you don't believe in ghosts doesn't mean they don't believe in you!

Penny is a skeptic, despite the fact that she works as a tour guide at The Whaley House, considered America's most haunted house.

Greatest Scream Queens
Debbie Rochon, often described as a scream queen herself, wrote in an article originally published in Gc Magazine that "a true Scream Queen isn't The Perfect Woman. She's sexy, seductive, but most importantly 'attainable' to the average guy. Or so it would seem." Nastassja Kinski Films: To the Devil a Daughter (1976) [1] Cat People (1982) [2] The Day the World Ended (2001) [3] Inland Empire (2006) [4] Kinski will always be remembered for the iconic photograph shot by Richard Avedon (with a snake coiled around her body) and her role in Paul Schrader's (not so good) remake of Cat People. Needless to say, it was a hit at the box office and Kinski deservingly received a Saturn Award for Best Actress. Caroline Munro Films: The Abominable Dr. Phibes (1971) [5] Dr. Phibes Rises Again (1972) [6] Dracula A.D. 1972 [7] Maniac (1980) [8] Faceless (1987) [9] Demons 6 (1989) [10] Caroline Munro seduced audiences in her Hammer roles in films like Dracula A.D. 1972, but for gore hounds,...

*Updated* Full Black Devil Doll details and more DVD news
First, a few street date updates: Shout! Factory’s DVD of Audition, which we broke the news on here, will arrive October 6. Monarch Video will release Farmhouse (see our review here) September 29; look for a making-of featurette and possibly other special features on that one. And First Look will issue Kyle Rankin’s big-bug opus Infestation on October 13, following its Syfy cable debut (see previous item here).

Lowest Common Denominator Entertainment has set an October 27 street date for its long-awaited special-edition disc of Black Devil Doll, and gave Fango the scoop on the complete details. The saga of an executed black militant’s spirit entering a ventriloquist’s dummy and wreaking all sorts of outrageous, politically incorrect havoc will be presented in widescreen with Dolby Digital 5.1 sound, plus an insane amount of special features:

Audio commentary by director Jonathan Lewis, writer/producer Shawn Lewis and writer/designer Mitch Mayes Audio...
