Final WWF PPV appearance for Todd Pettengill, and the first one for Michael Cole. Ironically, it was Pettengill who recommended his friend Cole to WWF management, when Pettengill's time in the company was ending.
During Owen Hart and Stone Cold Steve Austin's match for the Intercontiental Championship, a poorly executed piledriver resulted in an almost career-ending injury for Austin, who suffered a "stinger" in his neck. Austin went on to win the match as planned though, Owen allowing himself to be pinned with a weak roll-up.
Bret Hart's victory in the main event marked the beginning of his fifth and final WWF Championship victory.
