In this exclusive interview RajKumar Santoshi talks with Subhash K Jha on the return of the Salman Khan, Aamir Khan comedy, Andaz Apna Apna called me to inform me that they are planning to re-release 500 prints. I am very happy, of course. Why wouldn’t I be? The love and devotion that the film has collected over the years is beyond anything I’ve seen. Now, all those who love the film and were not there when it was first released would be able to see and enjoy it on the big screen.

Bollywood fans are in for a treat as three of the most celebrated names in the industry are joining hands for an epic partition drama titled Lahore: 1947. Aamir Khan, who is known for his perfectionism and versatility, will produce the film under his banner Aamir Khan Productions. Sunny Deol, who has delivered some of the most iconic performances in films like Ghayal, Damini and Ghatak, will play the lead role in the film. Rajkumar Santoshi, who has directed classics like Andaz Apna Apna, Lajja and The Legend of Bhagat Singh, will helm the project as the director.

Film and TV actor Samir Soni recalled working with Bhagyashree and how hesitant she was while shooting a romantic scene with him. He said: “Let me tell you about my first shoot experience with Bhagyashree. Back then, Bhagyashree and I were working on a film, and in the film, I had a big scar on my face, and she was blind, and we fell in love with each other. We were shooting a honeymoon night scene when we were asked to bring some romance to the scene. I was getting closer to her, but she was running away.”

Samir is known for working in TV shows like ‘Jassi Jaissi Koi Nahin’, ‘Kumkum’, ‘Parichay’, ‘Darr Sabko Lagta Hai’, ‘Khauff Begins’, and many more. Actress Madhu Kandhari, who is best known for ‘Hush Hush’, ‘Delhi Crime 2’ and ‘Pal Pal Dil ke Paas’, is now being seen as Nirmala Devi in ‘Gandhi Godse: Ek Yudh’, helmed by director Rajkumar Santoshi. The actress talked about her character and her experience of working with film’s director Rajkumar Santoshi.

Praising Santoshi, Madhu said: “He is an institution himself. He cries if the character is crying, he laughs and giggles when the character is funny while explaining the scenes. He even danced with the small kids and showed them the spirit in one particular scene during the film.”

They include the fact that it is a women-oriented film; the powerful action sequences that have been displayed via the promos; as well as the fact that it brings two legends of Indian Cinema together for the first time. Mumbai, Nov 20: Actress Manisha Koirala is down with jaundice but her manager confirms she is on the road to recovery.

"Manisha is taking rest now. She is recovering from jaundice. She is absolutely fine. In fact, she has already recovered," Manisha's manager Subroto Ghosh told Ians.

She was reportedly planning to return to work from mid-November, but this has now been delayed.

Manisha, popular for her roles in movies like "Saudagar", "Bombay" and "Lajja", had undergone treatment for ovarian cancer in New York and is now free of the disease.

The prolific Rajkumar Santoshi who is ready to release his comic actioner Phata Poster Nikhla Hero is appalled and bewildered by reports that he is all set to make a sequel to his 1994 comedy Andaz Apna Apna, and that he's unable to do because the film's producer has the rights. Immersed in sending off prints of his film to overseas, Santoshi protests, "First of all, if I want to make a sequel to Andaz Apna Apna there is no hurdle in the way. The producer Mr Vinay Sinha is a gentleman. I have a letter of consent from him to go ahead with the sequel whenever I want to." However, Santoshi just doesn't want to attempt a sequel to the cult comedy. "I don't see the need to go into that subject again. Contrary to reports I am not working on a subject for a sequel. I don't even have an idea for a sequel!

The cast of Shootout At Wadala is getting bigger by the day. The latest is that Jackie Shroff has joined the massive ensemble cast of the film.

He will be seen in a cameo with Anil Kapoor and plays an ex Police Commissioner who was reportedly instrumental in the encounter of Manya Surve (played by John Abraham).

Anil and Jackie were the hit pair of the 80s having rocked in numerous films like ‘Ram Lakhan’, ‘Parinda’, ‘Lajja’ and many others.

The actors are set to re-unite on reel after a gap of twelve years in Sanjay Gupta’s Shootout At Wadala, produced by Ekta Kapoor. Jackie has worked previously with Gupta in Ram Shastra and Jung.

Mumbai, March 11: Actress Manisha Koirala, who is undergoing treatment in New York for ovarian cancer, will most probably return to India in July, said her manager.

"Manisha is recovering well. She is better now. Most probably she will return to India by July. Nothing is decided now, but if things go well, then she might be back in India by July," Subroto Ghosh, Manisha's manager, told Ians.

Known for her roles in "Bombay", and "Lajja", among others, Manisha, 42, was operated upon in December last year in a hospital in New York. She is currently undergoing chemotherapy sessions there.

My favorite scene involves Shah Rukh Khan and Madhuri Dixit and is from the movie Dil Toh Pagal Hai. According to me, this is one of the most romantic scenes ever (and what else to expect from a Yash Chopra movie), but with a playful touch and that combo makes the scene so interesting to watch.

Nikhil Advani, director of Kal Ho Na Ho, Salaam-e-Ishq, Chandni Chowk to China and Patiala House is currently working on a number of scripts, one of which is a female orientated multi-starrer, reportedly featuring up to eight Bollywood beauties. Ask Nikhil and he shares “It is too premature. I am talking to everybody and it is quite exciting because it will give me an opportunity to work with some of the actors and actresses who I think are known as ‘classic’ in the film industry.” However, the last time Nikhil attempted a multi-starrer was with ‘Salam-e-Ishq’ back in 2007, which despite twelve stars, including the likes of Salman Khan, Priyanka Chopra, John Abraham and Vidya Balan, failed miserably at the box office, with both fans and critics alike.

Mumbai, March 5: Actor Anil Kapoor, who has worked in many female-centric films like "Beta", "Lajja", "Judaai" and "Biwi No. 1", says most actors today do not like being a part of films that revolve around women.

New Delhi, July 22 – They have been in the fashion business for 24 years but done very few costumes for Bollywood. Now Abu Jani and Sandeep Khosla want to work on an entire movie, provided the director shares their vision and can afford their services.

Popularly known as ‘the boys’, the Mumbai-based duo is known for designing the Bachchan family’s wardrobe and dressing up the likes of Dimple Kapadia and Shah Rukh Khan.
