Copy of 1972 Parichay movie with minor changes. Mohanlal played Jeetendra's character. Shobana played Jaya bhaduri and Soman played Pran's role. Shobana and Mohanlal as usual looked good together. Kids were cute and all But, overall it did not match the original movie as it did not evoke the same kind of emotions. The gradual progression of love between the grandfather & grand kids was missing, it was all quite abrupt as if the director did not want to waste time. Audience fail to connect with the characters properly as the characters seemed under developed. Overall even if this movie doesnt show up in top 20 must watch movie list I would set it aside to watch later.
The movie casts Soman the father of Mohanlal and his elder brother Ramachandran. The elder one dies leaving behind 4 children of his, whom Mohanlal take home. Then there is a good amount of humor with these children and their tricks on the tuition master(Alummooddan). Mohanlal falls in love with the new tuition mistress(Shobhana). But her greedy parents want to marry her very rich. Shobhana's parents - Thilakana nd Meena are a coupe writhe watching in their pranks. Wait till the last moment to catch hold of last turn of events
The movie plots the love beyond the level of teacher-student and thats the best part of it. This movie was screened on many schools as the teacher-student love is well commented. The ultimate message the movie passes on is love. More of a children's film than adults..
