The cover lied to me, but still fun.

The cover art looks like this would be a fun ski movie like Ski School or Ski Patrol. Instead you are treated to a 60 minute Warren Miller ski movie with 25 minutes of actual plot. It's not terrible mind you, just not what the cover art promises. It's worth it for the early snowboard footage though. 8 ball Creole sliders ya Skeezers!

I'm not saying I didn't like the film....but I'm writing it.

For the first 10 or 15 minutes the introduction scenes make the film seem like its going to be a really funny comic drama, much like similar ski-trip films. Unfortunatly they seem then to abandon the comedy part and turn the whole film into a dull 2 hour version of Dawson's Creek or something. Then in between the 3 main characters' depressing conversations, most of which only skiing enthusiasts will understand anyway, we are confused by the presence of the ever beautiful Ashley Laurence in the film. Sadly not even her immence acting talent is enough to salvage this film's empty plotline, which is made worse by that boring music and the rubbish acting from that kid out of Friday the 13th part II (and not much since).

Before long you find yourself ignoring the actual story and waiting for the shots of the cast (on the off chance that's even them) skiing in slow motion to the same repeating tune that has been boring you to death through the entire movie. This isn't in any way because skiing is fun to watch you understand, its just that even though its usually in slow motion, each stunt (unlike the plot) actually goes somewhere.

So to summerise: The film contains no real plot at all, excessive ski jargon, lots of bad acting, an almost fully unknown cast, painfully boring music, far too much skiing and also I don't think the sound quality is really much good either.

Still, we all love Ashley Laurence.
