You Gotta Be Jokin'

Edit
The first seven episodes of this series averaged at 6.31 million viewers and 49th place in the charts. The ratings for the eighth episode cannot be confirmed, but were below 6.39 million/outside the Top 60.

The individual ratings for each episode are listed under their respective entries.
Shane Richie gave the show a very brief but positive reference in his 2004 autobiography "Rags to Richie".

Among a few short recollections he noted: "The show opened with myself, Billy Pearce, George Marshall, Maddie Cryer and Annette Law sliding down a fireman's pole and doing one-liners to the camera. It gave me the opportunity to create characters and there was one in particular that seemed to go down well with viewers. He was a guy called Snakebite who was a West Country heavy metaller who never quite got it right. Instead of Iron Maiden he was a big fan of the Barron Knights and had a catchphrase: 'Snakebite 'ere and I'm 'ard.'"
