When Serbs decide to make a thriller... Is it really needed to say anything more... Good idea, interesting plot, but the lousy realization, although it is a big budget movie within Serbian standards. Within post-Yugoslavian Serbian cinematography this is weak eight, overall it's barely six.

This movie is made with (for Serbian relations) big budget. Idea is pretty good, but realization is sadly not so good. There is problem with script, dialogs, with directing and especially with editing. First hour was very hard to watch, too much badly composed flashback was really annoying. Second half was much better. Acting was mostly OK, I had problem only with Maja Sabljic, who played it overstyled. Labyrinth was made very good, but whole idea of cleaning soul is too deep, and deserved much better character development. Mother-daughter relationship between Suzana & Tamara was pretty unreal for example, they should give more place for Tomas. Main character, Petar is a bit clicheised, as his brother too. And they should find some more mimic young actors for mladi Pop (young Pop) and Suzana. Probably best quality (technical) Serbian DVD until now.
It starts well, but fails to generate genuine thrills, and ends with a confusing 3rd act that no one can even begin to comprehend. The dialogue is pretty weak, the direction is not exactly great. Also, I frankly never really cared about these characters.
