What a stinker!

This is truly one of the worst movies I have watched, either indy or commercial. It is sad that directors having the chance to present a real masterwork fall in banality and vulgarity to present their works.

If this is the best of the Mexican cinema, I don't want to view the rest!

Actually, I promised myself never to watch again another "awarded" latino film; to watch this $%#& I prefer to stick to Hollywood.

Stay away from it.

If you see the DVD around, go away at once!

Don't say nobody warned you!

great effort best results

This movie deals in a really good way with an interesting romantic comedy, that is brought between and by two somehow very different type of person, but at the same time have a lot of common aspects that attract them. I think this is a really funny movie, very well acted and directed, the production is excellent too.

silly Mexico City fun

This movie is great for foreigners who have lived in Mexico City. Aside from the interesting plot about people lying to each other for a good impression, I liked all the little glimpses of Mexico City life. Of course, they were overdone, but that added a lot of comic relief.

I suppose a lot of Americans would be bored by this film. As for me, after getting stuck in Insurgentes traffic jams and having firebreathers and food vendors come up to my window, the comic relief was reason enough for me to watch Vivir Mata.

Solo con tu pareja...

This movie is the same style of "Solo con Tu Pareja" romantic-comedy... but 15 years later... i enjoy it a lot... maybe because I didn't espect anything of it, actually (because of the trailer) I espect a bad movie. Good for mexicans... maybe average for US guys and gals.

No more stereotypical movies please!!!!

Watching this movie made me feel sick about how "extreme" the director tries to show a REALLY REALLY REALLY Mexican stereotypical view (tons of vendors on the street, people dressed like for a carnival, nasty Mexican food almost smelling in the theater etc.). The dialogues are so boring and Daniel Gimenez looks really bad (kill the make up guys). This movie supposed to be a bitter-sweet tale of encounters and departures. What's that something that make us feel close to a complete stranger and miles away from those supposed to be near to you.

The movie has not a bad start but minute by minute every character losses all credibility and the results are very bad indeed. Well, I'm not into telling what's the story about exactly (somebody else will do it more properly and then you'll understand me) but.. you'll feel so miserable about living in a big city that... I'm starting to think moving out to the country....

Good movie made with tested formulas

I think "Vivir mata" is a good film, funny, smart, but very commercial, it was made to make money, there's nothing wrong with that. Director Echeverria has a good filmography with movies like "Cabeza de vaca", a historic theme. Good for him if he makes money, but it's a step down creativelly.
