A trash compactor level was planned, until it was removed to clear cartridge space. One screenshot of the level was printed on the Electronic Gaming Monthly magazine.
It was initially planned to give the characters black outlines. The idea was later dropped, as it made the characters look too "cartoony".
Next to the Super Nintendo version, a PC and a Sega Genesis port were in development. Both ports were cancelled, but prototypes surfaced later on the internet.
The Khalar boss in the cantina level is based on one of the chess figures R2-D2 used in the Millennium Falcon.
