8/10

Great story about Belgrade and new generations in it, in the very last days of Milosevic dictatorship

Natasha is young Serbian girl, daughter of honest policeman killed by mafia, which reaches to the highest levels of Milosevic regime. Natasha is full of rage, determined to pursuit her own justice (be aware - this is not some cliché - her way is vary unique and claver). She is tied with various characters, confused in confusing times - dawn of Milosevic falling from power.

Honest and clever story. With a little bit of politics, romance, drama and thriller. Great cast - Tijana Kondic as Natasa (her first movie!) and vary convincing Nikola Djuricko as Marko and Neda Arneric, as Natasha's mother. Even Dragan Bjelogrlic as Aca (corrupted chief of police) is not bad as usual;). And, of course, Zoran Cvijanovic as Milutin - master of short roles again on film! He is truly one of the best European actors.

And one big minus for the film - pathetic ending. So usual for Ljubisa Samardzic (director). Yet another solid film, as Skyhook, shadowed with those unnecessary endings.

All at all - 8/10.

Agree with Mr. Maksimilijevic

This is, well, brainless. Young, chaotic, hysteric girl, trying to accomplish something and yet nothing - we never get to know and even the character doesn¨t know. Nikola Djuricko and Boris Milivojevic were excellent though and they were basically the hight of the movie. Ljubisa Samardzic - please stick to the acting, not directing!

Not a complete waste of time, but pretty close....

"Natasa" is another movie set in the '90s Belgrade that offers really no improvement over prior Serbian movies dealing with similar subjects("Ubistvo s predumisljajem", "Do koske", etc..).

Although it's nice to see Anica Dobra in Serbian movies again with her progression from a young sexpot she played in the late '80s and early '90s to a more mature, almost motherly, woman this time around, this movie is just too sketchy and unfocused to get a recommendation from me.

Nikola Djuricko, Davor Janjic and Boris Milivojevic all turned in good performances (Milivojevic with a scene-stealing portrayal of a Bosnian transvestite named Dzeni). Even young Natasa (I forgot the young actress' name) had her moments, but ultimately the script is simply subpar.

In a simplistic movie like this that basically depends on its central character, it is essential that the audience has a strong rooting interest in that person. However, this script can't decide if Natasa is an ordinary, good-natured, simple girl trying to survive in extraordinary circumstances or a manipulative, scheming, spoiled little brat. In different scenes she is called upon to be one or the other, or even both, depending on what's needed to forcefully move the plot along and get the movie to the required running time.

SPOILER! Finally, a sappy, romance novel ending is slapped together, and all that I'm left with is a realization I just threw away 2 hours of my life.

Well...........

Movie is really good, but its not best Serbian movie. It was missing something and there were a lot of plot holes. Movie has good idea, good plot. Everything is happening during Milosevic fall. I did enjoyed, but plot holes were really taking away 4 star rating. ***/****
