FAQ

Iron Maiden: Rock in Rio

Yes. After 2 Minutes to Midnight, Bruce thanks people in South America for supporting him and the bands that have opened for them. Bruce then says that if the audience thinks Britney Spears was cool, than they should take a long look at Maiden. Why this was cut out remains unknown to this day.

No. The first time was in 1985. They were the second last to go on stage before Queen and they went on stage at 9:02 PM. It was filmed and broadcast on TV worldwide. 50 minutes of it can be seen on the second disc of the Live After Death DVD.

The Clansman is about Braveheart. The dance that Nicko does is a reference to the Scottish freedom dance. In fact, Nicko has been known to be a "goofy old bugger" as the band describe him.

There are many reasons as to this. The main reason is that it broke that night. They tried to fix it, but it broke again the second time. Bruce was also supposed to be lifted up on it, but when they tried it with a crew member before it broke the second time, the crew member broke his arm.

The band went on stage at 12:02 AM according to the band's photographer, Ross Halfin.

250, 000 people were there in attendance. That's quite amazing, seeing as they were there all day and stayed up that late.
