For those about to rock, we salute you. Malcolm Young, founding member of AC/DC and brother to lead guitarist Angus Young, has passed away at the age of 64. Malcolm suffered through dementia and cancer for the last years of his life and has not toured or recorded with the band since 2008's Black Ice. Malcolm Young was the band's rhythm guitar player and is responsible for many of AC/DC's best-known songs that have topped the charts as well as helped launch movies into the top of the box office with his contributions to soundtracks.
In a statement on the Malcolm Young's Facebook, his family said, "Renowned for his musical prowess, Malcolm was a songwriter, guitarist, performer, producer and visionary who inspired many." While the statement is accurate, it also underscores just how amazing Malcolm Young really was. Arnold Schwarzenegger's The Last Action Hero was a box office bomb,...

It’s time once more for Wrestlemania the biggest professional wrestling and sports entertainment event for fans and performers that there is. This year the event is held in Orlando, the home of Nxt – where a lot of the current roster of superstars got their start -and as usual (at least on paper) the card doesn’t seem that great. But that’s the thing with the WWE’s biggest pay per view, there’s always surprises: especially when it comes to Wrestlemania moments…. So with that lets get into Wrestlemania 33 – starting with the usual 2-hour kick off pre-show, which this year features the Crusiserweight Championship match the the now-annual Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royale.
Wrestlemania 33 Kick-Off Show Cruiserweight Championship Match: Austin Aries vs Neville
Aries has the upper hand early in the match, hitting a spinning elbow on Neville off the middle rope, sending him to the outside.

Todd Phillips (The Hangover) introduces the Arms and the Dudes in today’s slick new trailer for War Dogs, an upcoming action-thriller that ships Miles Teller and Jonah Hill daring (read: idiotic) opportunists to the frontlines.
Hatching a plan to smuggle weapons across the globe and into the Afghan Military, War Dogs is set against the throes of the Iraq war, following Teller and Hill’s twenty-somethings who, after landing an eye-watering 300 million contract from the Pentagon, set about getting their hands dirty by doing business with exactly the kind of people that the Us government tends to keep at arm’s reach – and then some.
It’s a far cry from the trivial shenanigans found across The Hangover trilogy, but the above snippet is dripping with style, set against the fist-pumping riff of AC/DC’s “Dirty Deeds Done Dirt Cheap.”
What’s more, War Dogs is loosely based...

Prior to Monday night’s live Raw broadcast, the company taped matches for this week’s episodes of Superstars, Main Event, and Smackdown. There were only five matches in total, as the pre-WrestleMania shows are typically clip-heavy.
I attended the tapings last night, so here’s my notes of what went down…
Superstars
Jack Swagger pinned Tyler Breeze with a Vader Bomb
Main Event
Ryback pinned Fandango with a Shell Shock
Smackdown
Aj Styles defeated Heath Slater in a competitive match. Slater got the heat when he knocked Styles off the turnbuckle and “The Phenomenal One” fell off and hit his face on the ring steps. Styles came back, fought off interference from the Social Outcasts, and got the pin with the Phenomenal Forearm. Prior to the match, Heath Slater cut a promo where he promised the Outcasts would win the “2011 Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal.

This week’s Smackdown tapings took place in Atlanta, Georgia, with Dean Ambrose battling Kevin Owens in the main event. The show started with Ambrose in the ring, cutting a promo about his feuds with Brock Lesnar and Triple H. Owens interrupted, leading to the Lunatic Fringe hitting him with a steel chair.
The first match of the evening was Sheamus and Rusev defeating The Usos, with Sheamus hitting the Brogue Kick on Jimmy for the win. The Dudleys then came down and beat The Usos up some more.
Dolph Ziggler defeated The Miz with a small package in a short match.
Sasha Banks versus Becky Lynch went to a predictable no contest, after Charlotte came out and attacked both women. It is pretty obvious at this point it will be a triple threat at WrestleMania.
Aj Styles defeated Kofi Kingston via a springboard elbow.

Kevin Owens is as much a brut as he is a prizefighter, and the WWE heel continued to use the announcer’s table as a weapon Thursday on the pre-taped “Smackdown.” Fan favorite Dean Ambrose was taking it to Owens during the latest match in their heated Intercontinental Championship rivalry, even landing a Dirty Deeds through the ring ropes. In a clip obtained by TheWrap, Ko clearly didn’t take too kindly to that, nor did his baddie buddy Sheamus. The Irish outlaw interfered, slamming Ambrose into the steel ring steps, later ripping off rounds of punches to his demented dome.

Tables, Ladders and Chairs matches haven’t really been the same since the Attitude heyday of Edge & Christian and The Hardy Boys but still the WWE perserve with the pay per view each and every year. 2015 looks set to be an interesting PPV with – at least on paper – a few matches that could really make their mark on fans: the triple threat match featuring three high-flying tag teams; the Intercontinental Championship match between Kevin Owens and Dean Ambrose (definitely a crowd-pleaser) and then there’s the main event… Sheamus versus Roman Reigns; and we all know how fans react to Reigns getting anywhere close to the title!

As we head into this years Survivor Series there’s not only the loss of the current WWE champion to deal with but also an apparent terrorist threat to deal with too. No wonder the WWE let Lillian Garcia blast out “The Star Spangled Banner” as loud and as bold as as she possibly could! That aside, It will be interesting to see where the 2015 Survivor Series is headed given the almost ramshackle last-minute nature in which the matches seem to have been put together… Of course what was planned on was the celebration of 25 years of the Phenom himself, The Undertaker. After all, 1990′s Survivor Series (yes, the event has been going that long) was the official debut of Mark Calaway’s now-iconic character in the WWE.

This week’s Smackdown took place in Providence, Rhode Island and featured the Dudley Boyz first match in WWE in ten years as well as a big night for the Wyatt Family.
An interesting note about the pre-Smackdown taping is that Samoa Joe and Finn Balor teamed up to beat Lucha Dragons in the Nxt Dusty Rhodes Memorial tag team tournament. Balor and Joe together sounds pretty awesome, so that’s something to look forward to on a future edition of Nxt.
Here are the results from Smackdown.
Bray Wyatt along with Luke Harper and Braun Strowman did a promo to start the show. They talked about Strowman being a new member of the Wyatt Family. Roman Reigns and Dean Ambrose confronted them in the ring, but the Wyatt Family backed away to end the segment.
The Ascension did a promo ripping on the Dudley Boyz to set up their match.

Live from the Barclays Centre in Brooklyn, New York, it’s SummerSlam 2015!
Lilian Garcia introduces host Jon Stewart and we’re under way! He drops a Beastie Boys reference and hypes up the show. ‘I’ve spent sixteen years talking about politics, it’s nice to be back in reality’. WWE? Reality? This is clearly a WWE-scripted intro, then. Huge boos for Cena’s name. This crowd is going to eat him alive. Mick Foley is brought out- cheap pops imminent…yup, there it is. They riff with each other for a while and it doesn’t really go anywhere. Still, nice to see Foley and Stewart looks up for this.
After the customary video package, it’s time for our first match…
Sheamus Vs. Randy Orton
Good choice for an opener. Orton went for an Rko early, but Sheamus bailed and cut a ringside promo and fans looking stupid.

WrestleMania 31, the WWE’s biggest event of the year is over and we arrive at Extreme Rules, the pay per view that WWE claim is their time once a year to “go extreme”. The PG era has meant that “extreme” in the current WWE climate is very different to what it meant back in Ecw or during WWE’s TV-14 run, but there’s still some interesting stuff booked for this PPV, so let’s see how it all plays out.

At Elimination Chamber, the WWE World Heavyweight Title match had the kind of finish that makes fans groan so hard that they’re in danger of rupturing their spleens. Dean Ambrose was diving from the top turnbuckle onto Seth Rollins, who pulled the referee into harm’s way instead. While the ref was nursing his boo-boo on the outside, Ambrose hit Rollins with Dirty Deeds and covered him, a new referee rushing to the ring to count the 1-2-3. Ambrose won the WWE World Heavyweight Title for two minutes, during which the internet exploded.
Of course it was not to be, and in a booking decision that would make Dusty Rhodes proud, the original ref ruled that Rollins was disqualified for attacking him, meaning that while Ambrose won the match by Dq, he didn’t win the belt. Ambrose thought, ‘well knackers to that’ and announced that,...

WWE decided, in their infinite wisdom, to hold another WWE PPV/Special Event in the month of May, meaning that in just over a month’s space there will have been three WWE supershows. Still, this has potential to be something special, so even though it is a bit of overkill, it’s interesting. With matches featuring many young and hungry talent as well as long-term main eventers, this is an event that could very well be a stepping stone towards an era of the Nxt-bred talent solidifying themselves as big stars on the main roster.

The WWE Elimination Chamber three hour WWE Network special took place on Sunday in Corpus Christi, Texas. Here are results of everything that happened.
During the Kickoff Show, Stardust beat Zack Ryder.
Also during the Kickoff Show, Daniel Bryan was a guest on Miz TV. Bryan was there to plug his book. Miz acted like a jerk towards him, so Bryan brought out Macho Mandow and AxelMania, who teamed together to send Miz out of the ring.
The main show began with the first time ever Tag Team Title match inside the Elimination Chamber. The New Day were allowed to have all three members in the match. They were also the last team to enter the match, which was apparently a favour from The Authority since New Day helped them on Smackdown. The New Day won the match to retain their titles by last eliminating the Prime Time Players.

Smackdown was filmed on Tuesday from Colorado Springs. The show will air on Thursday night and was primarily concerned with Daniel Bryan’s momentum towards WWE Fast Lane.
Opening the broadcast was a Miz TV segment. The guests were Bryan and Roman Reigns, but things quickly fell apart when Reigns hit the Superman Punch on The Miz. The Royal Rumble winner then challenged Bryan to a fight, but Seth Rollins turned up and interrupted the stare off. It was then announced that Bryan would be facing Rollins, Jamie Noble and Joey Mercury in Smackdown’s main event.
Ryback and Dolph Ziggler defeated Stardust and Goldust, after Stardust decided to walk out on his partner. The break up had been coming for some time.
It looked like Ryback and Ziggler could be going forward as a new tag team. The idea here was that it was “The Big Guy...

Producer Annie Kinnane expresses a common complaint in the industry: Often by the time she and her friends hear about a new Australian film it.s been yanked off screens before they had a chance to see it.

There have been better go-home shows. But then again, an episode of SmackDown still stands between us and Hell in a Cell, so all may not be lost. The folks in Kansas City did their darndest to put a promo-heavy Raw on their shoulders with equal parts passionate interaction and irksome subversion – poor Randy Orton – and the minority of talent who squared off in the ring (i.e. Usos, Mizdow, Gold/Stardust, Ziggler/Cesaro, etc.) ran circles around the night's plodding microphone work.

5.5 King of Norway
It’s hard not to see this season in a valedictory light, offering a pattern of reunions, score-settling and closure as characters, willingly or otherwise, attempt to find and secure a sense of closure before the shutters finally come down. It comes across like the closing of a circle, or rather several interlinked circles, that bring characters back to where they came from, again whether they like it or not. Such a view places this episode’s reunion of Nucky and Chalky in a similar context to that of Nucky and Margaret last week. In both cases, the exiled come to Nucky, surprising him by their unannounced return. In both cases too, Nucky takes the opportunity to nurture his sentimentality, seeking sweet reminiscences with Margaret and...

After focussing on TV dramas, David Caesar plans to direct a conspiracy thriller, his first feature since Prime Mover in 2009.
Scripted by Terence Hammond and produced by Antony I. Ginnane, Spontaneous Combustion is set during a pandemic involving government and Big Pharma.
The plan is to start shooting in Melbourne in the first quarter of 2015, with post production and VFX in Queensland. The logline reads, "When a marine biologist who saw his father burst into flames for no reason is drawn into investigating an outbreak of spontaneous combustion deaths by an investigative journalist, they uncover a Big Pharma conspiracy and put their own lives on the line in a race to stop the development of a deadly global weapon."
.David is harking back to his Dirty Deeds milieu here, and he.s a big fan of The Parallax View, Three Days of the Condor and The Conversation, which is the zone we are in here,...

AC/DC might be heading down that "Highway to Hell" again to perform some "Dirty Deeds" that will shake you "All Night Long" and leave you "Thunderstruck." While the hard rock legends have been relatively quiet since 2008, due to guitarist Angus Young's health problems, singer Brian Johnson says AC/DC is potentially touring in 2014. In a post on his site about the "Cars That Rock," the upcoming U.K. TV series he's hosting, Johnson casually mentions, "it looks very likely that we will be on the road again before the end of the year. So stand by for more music." Of course, nothing is set in stone, but be on the lookout for more updates. AC/DC's most recent album was 2008's "Black Ice. The live collection "Live at River Plate" followed in 2012. ...

Can Morgan Fairchild and “Gold Dust Woman” save a dull episode?
Here are five highlights:
The Vipers Who Lunch
Having primetime soap legend Morgan Fairchild appear as one of Victoria’s Hampton friends was a masterstroke. Unfortunately, she’s on about two minutes, but I’m hoping it’s not a one-shot deal. Her character on the short-lived 80′s soap Paper Dolls was described as “A crocodile with lip gloss,” and I would love for her and Victoria to share Bitch-On-Wheels notes. Or better yet, go after each other. Make it happen, show!
Declan 2.0
Okay, so “Javolan” is obviously not going to happen, but do they really have to pair up Javier with … Charlotte? Haven’t they already done the “wrong side of the tracks’ star-crossed lovers thing. And we all know how well that turned out. I suppose they have to find some to way...

For the best part of 20 years Chris Blackburn tried his hand at writing film scripts, a sideline to his day jobs as a newspaper and TV reporter, reality show producer and, currently, as a co-executive producer on Big Brother.
Eighteen months ago he had an idea for a crime drama about a young man whose sister has been brutally murdered, set primarily in a row of vacant houses near his home on the north coast of Nsw.
Blackburn wrote the script and asked his son Tim, a TV editor who has directed several short films to direct. Entitled Burns Point, the film is now in day seven of a 21-day shoot in and around the town of Ballina.
Asked how he.s financed the film, Chris tells If, .It.s mostly me. I.ve saved up for this and put money aside." Cast and crew are working on deferred. fees in some cases.

Grieco Witnesses Dirty Deeds Done In Exchange For Gold
Mining is a dirty business, obviously, but not just in the harsh physical conditions of the job. This is a locale based industry that effects entire communities, has bred conflict over working conditions as in Barbara Kopple’s monumental Harlan County, U.S.A., and can lead to imperialization and communal displacement, as in Mark Grieco’s documentary debut, Marmato, which documents the buyout of local mining companies in the title Colombian community by various muscle flexing Canadian corporations. Unable to fully fund their community leveling open pit plans that mean to suck all the gold within, the companies close the mine, leaving locals without work while providing no alternatives to support their families. Over the course of months and years, Grieco follows these events up to an anxiety ridden pinnacle of political fervor, but seemingly due to time constraints, fails...

Is there anything better than Nicolas Cage playing an unhinged dude who will stop at nothing to achieve personal justice? In Roger Donaldson‘s Seeking Justice, Cage does just that after his wife (January Jones) is brutally attacked and he’s offered support by Guy Pearce, a mysterious stranger with his own aims and secrets. As you can likely expect, they’re not selfless aims and they’re not fluffy secrets. With Seeking Justice hitting DVD and Blu-ray next week, we’re excited to offer a very special Blu-ray prize pack filled with films that all tap right into the themes of the Cage-starrer. Dirty cops. Dirty deeds. All on your own television. This prize pack includes Blu-rays of The Son of No One, Brooklyn’s Finest, Texas Killing Fields, Righteous Kill, and Seeking Justice. That’s quite a bit of crooked law enforcement to deal with all at once. To...

From 1975 to 1977, Mark Evans played bass in AC/DC, which means he missed two of the band’s most earth-shattering moments: the death of original singer Bon Scott in 1980, and the triumphant release the same year of its crowning commercial triumph, Back In Black. Accordingly, Evan’s memoir, Dirty Deeds: My Life Inside/Outside Of AC/DC, is a bit skimpy and shortsighted when measured against the group’s epic history. But Evans managed to render his book much like AC/DC’s iconic hard rock: lean, raw, unflinching, and heavy on the riffs. To Evans’ benefit ...

AC/DC's former bass player Mark Evans has released a tell-all book called Dirty Deeds. The former musician, who appeared in the original line-up of the Australian rock group alongside brothers Angus and Malcolm Young, was sacked in 1977 amid rumours that he had never got on with Angus. Evans told The Daily Telegraph: "I certainly had issues with Angus but everyone did. Angus is Angus and I have respect for the guy, for what he has achieved. "His and Mal's commitment to that band is amazing. They are so single-minded and the level of commitment they demanded - [it] was easy to fall short of that." Evans explained that (more)...

Today's birthday wishes go out to Angus Young of AC/DC, and though he is now 56 years old, the guy really is forever young. It isn't just because of his trademark school boy uniform (though that's certainly a big help), but it's also because of his lively concert performances and almost juvenile take (in the best way possible) on rock and roll.
AC/DC formed way back in 1973 when he was only 18 years old, and Young has been the group's lead guitarist since its inception. They instantly became huge in their native Australia, and it was mainly because of Young's incredible approach to music. He took blues riffs and melted them down, bent them in half, twisted them around and knocked them back out again with an incredible balance of power and grace. Those riffs helped turn giant slabs of proto-metal like "Dirty Deeds Done Dirt Cheap," "Highway to Hell,...

Yes, the Mamas and the Papas sang that song and seems appropriate given the Mother and Father issues we saw in this last episode. From the Blake Sterling’s daddy Edward to revelation of Sophia as Thomas’ (and who else, eh?) mother.
Dirty Deeds, Done Dirt Cheap!
What a painful experience, watching a man in love being confronted by the reality of his significant other. Heartbreaking. That experience certainly informs Sterling’s observed behavior prior to episode 7. An interesting note, he and Laura met in Barcelona. This has been the...
