Ewerton de Castro abruptly quit the show after finding out that his character was being quite reduced, barely having lines neither had an effective relevance to the plot. It would mark as the last time he worked on a TV Globo production and the network sued him for breach of contract. More than 20 years after the beginning of the lawsuit, Castro lost the cause and was ordered to pay a huge amount to the network in 2023.
The miniseries reunites most of the main cast of TV show Uga Uga (2000), which was also written by Carlos Lombardi.
