Heathcliff and Riff-Raff never appear together in the same clip except during the closing credits.

This show and Inspecteur Gadget (1983) were both produced by DIC Entertainment. As a result, there are occasional references to the other show. For example, Iggy's Grandfather occasionally turns on the TV set to watch Inspector Gadget, who appears on the screen.

Episodes from this series were later collected and featured in Les entrechats, le film (1986).

This was the second of two series featuring Heathcliff, George Gately's newspaper comic strip cat. The first series, Les entrechats (1980), was produced by Ruby-Spears Productions. Mel Blanc provided the voice of Heathcliff in both series.
