Mehndi (1998)

Trivia

Mehndi

Edit
Feroz Khan (Arjun) plays the role of Billoo, a eunuch and Joginder Shelly play's the role of Police Inspector Bhishma (A character in Mahabharata). Joginder Shelly in the movie was reminded by his constable how Bhishma's downfall happened in Mahabharata. FYI: A eunuch stood in between Arjun and Bhishma, this caused Bhishma not to fire his arrows as he could not fight a non-male which prompted Arjun to fire all his arrows putting Bhishma on a bed of arrows, thus his downfall. In the movie Mehndi Feroz Khan (Arjun) threw Joginder Shelly onto long wooden spikes and he lied there like Bhishma did in Mahabharata. Coincidentally Feroz Khan played the role of Arjun in B.R. Chopra's hit TV show Mahabharata
The film had a theatrical release in Canada.
Arbaaz Khan was the original choice for the lead role.
Only film of Rani to star Faraaz Khan.
Rani had spoken about Mehndi in an interview "What I remember about Mehndi is shooting in Jaipur. I was shooting in and around the city and I think this was the first time I had visited Jaipur as a teenager. I was bowled over with the beauty of Rajasthan the moment I saw the city. Jaipur is one just of the most exotic cities and I was loving every bit about this shoot sequence." However, an actor's life is not all that rosy".
