This movie contains intelligent humor and good humor.

If there is something that everybody receives in Colombia it is the soccer. To this the writing Dago García with this movie on a fanatic that bets the savings of its life in a soccer game. Dago García manages an intelligent humor being able to make laugh to the spectators that attend to observe this movie, loosing the biggest laughter in its lives. Enrique Carriazo and Robinson Díaz is spectacular, because an actor to be able to give laugh to a person is complicated. Jim Carrey is devoted to out single movies of Comedy, and I am this Great actor's admirer, but in spite of all the foolishness that he makes in its movies it doesn't overcome the humor that contains this movie of PENA MAXIMA. I like like they develop the topic with the death of the uncle of the two brothers(Enrique Carriazo and Robinson Díaz) that prevents them to attend the stadium to see the soccer game. If you look for a good form of having a good time attending the cinema, this it is a very good opportunity.

This movie is a shame ... trust me!

Colombia can gives a lot of beautiful and intelligent films like "La Estrategia del Caracol", "Funeral Siniestro" or "La Primera Noche". I was so excited when i see for the first time "La Pena Maxima"... but after all, i think that is only garbage... not even good performances can save it. This movie is not clever, is not funny... is just the opposite: is ridiculous and unfunny.

The story told us about a man (Enrique Carriazo) who, with his brother, and as a lot of Colombian people, loves soccer (Here, the plot is great, because can treat a great topic) ... one day, in an important soccer encounter, he bets a lot of money which he and his wife (Beautiful Sandra Reyes) have saving for a long, long time. At the same time, he must go to a funeral. What he going to do... to go to the soccer game? ... Please, don't ask! The development of the plot is absurd... and i love absurd movies, but this one is not a good one. Don't makes me laugh. And, after all thats not the point. It doesn't matters if the movie don't makes me laugh, the important is watch a movie that tell us a good story, but this one is no more than pathetic. Watch it then if you dare... sincerely, i prefer play soccer at the park with my friends.

*Sorry for the mistakes...well, if there any.
