Today’s TV Addict Top 5: Questions with Pan Am Super-Spy Goran Visnjic
Dabbling a bit with political intrigue in his latest role as Niko Lonza, a Yugoslavian diplomat who catches the eye of one of the flight attendants in Pan Am, Goran Visnjic previewed his guest starring role in an exclusive interview with theTVaddict.com.

Can you describe who Niko Lonza is and what part he has to play in the upcoming episodes?

Goran: I play a Yugoslavian diplomat who works in the United Nations and he meets one of the stewardesses on the flight from New York to Monte Carlo. Basically, Kate (played by Kelli Garner) needs to get close to him because he is her only way into the fancy casino in Monte Carlo and she has a CIA assignment inside there. But when Kate is done with her assignment, they have this connection and they start dating, and over the course of a couple of episodes, it turns into a love story.

Patti Smith Joins Jack Sparrow for Disney Dreams
Captain Jack Sparrow has himself a new First Mate, and it's... punk icon Patti Smith?

Patti's about the last person we'd expect to see aboard the Black Pearl, but with Disney Dreams, pretty much anything can happen -- and anyone can show up. The latest batch of ads featuring celebrities re-enacting famous Disney moments features Johnny Depp decked out as Captain Jack with Patti Smith getting her pirate on.

It does kind of make you want to book a flight to Orlando and book a room at the Pop Century hotel, doesn't it?

And, actually, the more we think about it, it makes complete sense that Patti Smith is part of Jack Sparrow's crew. Well played, Disney!

Check out the pics below -- you can see larger versions over at BuzzFeed. Ahoy!

Samuel L. Jackson to Star in Samaritan
Samuel L. Jackson is quite busy guy these days. According to the latest reports, he’s set to star in Samaritan, project that comes from director David Weaver (Century Hotel) and that’s already being described as the neo-noir thriller.

At this moment we do know that the Samaritan also stars Luke Kirby (best known from Shattered Glass) and Ruth Negga (Breakfast on Pluto). So, L. Jackson will have a good company, indeed.

From H2O Motion Pictures comes this kind of description: “After twenty years in prison, Foley (Jackson) is finished with the grifter’s life. When he meets an elusive young woman named Iris (Negga), the possibility of a new start looks real.

But his past is proving to be a stubborn companion: Ethan (Kirby), the son of his former partner, has an ingenious plan and he wants Foley in. The harder he tries to escape his past,...

Casting Updates: Tommy Lee Jones for Great Hope Springs, Kevin Costner for Superman, Albert Brooks in Knocked-up spin-off, and more
Here are some casting updates from the past two days we didn’t get a chance to cover.

Tommy Lee Jones for Great Hope Springs?

We’ve known for about a month now that Meryl Streep and Steve Carell would be starring in the film, but now we have word that Tommy Lee Jones might be signing on for the role of Streep’s husband in Great Hope Springs. Carell will play Dr. Feld, “a marriage therapist who tries to help a couple rekindle their loveless relationship after 31 years of marriage.” David Frankel has signed on to direct the film from a screenplay from Vanessa Taylor. [Deadline]

Samuel L. Jackson at an event for Renaissance d'un champion (2007)
Samuel L. Jackson is set to star in the neo-noir thriller Samaritan. Variety reports that Jackson will topline the flick to be directed by David Weaver (Century Hotel). The story centers on Foley (Jackson), a former grifter who, after serving a 20-year prison sentence, sets out to turn his life around. It’s not long, however, before the son of his former partner shows up and complicates things. Luke Kirby (Shattered Glass) is poised to play Jackson’s former partner’s son, while Ruth Negga (Breakfast on Pluto) will take on the role of an “elusive woman” who crosses paths with Jackson’s character. Weaver co-wrote the script with Elan Mastai (Alone in the Dark). Samaritan is on somewhat of a fast track, with production set to begin next week in Toronto with an eye towards an early 2012 release. Jackson will move straight from Samaritan into Joss Whedon’s The Avengers.

Samuel L. Jackson Is 'The Samaritan'; Val Kilmer Takes 'The First Ride Of Wyatt Earp'
Samuel L. Jackson at an event for Renaissance d'un champion (2007)
Listen, there is no doubt that Samuel L. Jackson and Val Kilmer are solid actors, and given the right material and talent to work with, they are some of the finest thesps in the game. Unfortunately, both are prone to taking on dubious projects (though the latter far more often than the former) and news comes today of two projects that find the actors swinging for mediocrity. First up, Sam Jackson is set to star in "The Samaritan" with Luke Kirby and Ruth Negga. David Weaver ("Century Hotel") directs the film he co-wrote with Elan Mastai ("Alone in the Dark")…...
