A considerable amount of care & consideration seems to have gone into the crafting of this documentary about medieval re-enactment. There was a broad representation of all aspects of the society with a secondary focus on the burden of the crown.
I viewed this film a short time ago, after learning of its release and found it to be a very well made film about the well known "SCA". I have watched guys fight at my local parks and thought it was an interesting group of people, to say the least... The film showed a side to the SCA that only one that was in the SCA experience, one that I knew little of. The film was an excellent "documentary style", behind the scenes look at the whole group, from the rise and fall, to unique interviews with the people "as themselves".
I enjoyed this film greatly. I think that it was able to capture several different view points of life in the SCA and is a good film for members and non members alike. I think they where able to capture several spectacular scenes that makes me wish I was there in person to see.
